Won't they be full throttle if the plates slow them up too much? At least on fresh tyres.

Whew... I was getting worried NASCAR wouldn't fuck it up.

They were probably already going to be full throttle without the plates. And still slower than the Cup cars I confidently assume.

This is such a shit idea. So much for a fun Nationwide race. Now we have the pleasure of watching a slow-as-fuck traffic jam.

And I was excited because I wasn't working Saturday.

Well thank you NASCAR, you big douchebags.

Here's a fun tweet: "The F-16s just practiced Sunday's flyover at @MISpeedway, and wound up 39th on the speed charts."

Of course Nascar manages to fuck up my first Nationwide race for me. God, I hope it won't be as awful as I think it will.

Why bother doing it for Nationwide only?

So they can announce that they're putting plates on the Cup cars the morning of the race?

Nationwide might look like Loudon 2000

Where are you guys reading that Nationwide is running plates?

or Daytona, don't forget Danica is in the field.....

Surely they can't be putting a restrictor plate on them though, don't they have different types of engines for plate races? I imagine they're just putting a bigger/smaller tapered spacer on, but to me it would seem self defeating, if the NWS cars are already flat out most of the way around, wouldn't decreasing their horsepower just make them fully flat all the way round?

It's off a JR Motorsports tweet Speedworx posted.

Take it with a grain of salt until it's official.

Wish they would look at increasing drag with a blade on roof instead of taking power away. I never get the logic behind their decisions. :?

How slow are the Nationwide cars running? I can't get the leaderboard to run at work for some reason.
