So can we talk about why JAFF pitted on the last caution? |

His tires aren't shot, but good luck holding off a car with two fresh tires and another with four. Hamlin tried...and failed miserably. |

Probably got a call to leave the Chase runners alone. Same reason why Hamlin didn't get completely mugged on the last restart after spinning his tyres up. |

No was NASCAR was gonna let Jeff win after all the fans are crying about him missing by a point. Little $$ involved wouldnt surprise me at all at this point...how little I believe in the sport. |

If it's still only the top 10 who go to the awards banquet, Johnson isn't among them. |

I just didn't feel anything as I saw all 4 chase drivers continually running next to each on the track. The closest feeling I had was 'holy shit this feels so fabricated, even more than usual'. In an ideal setting, this kind of scenario would have had me really excited but I just didn't experience it. |

Ultimately racing is entertainment. There is nothing entertaining about a championship being decided before the last race. All the other sports work this way. Edit: I enjoyed todays race. If there were only 2 contenders and one was a long shot and didn't look like he had any chance of winning, I probably would have walked away from the television set and did other things. |

As much as all of us bitch about everything about this sport.......we're all gonna plant our asses in front of the TV in February for the Daytona 500. |

There's nothing exciting about it when you have to fabricate it to try and make it exciting. Motorsport isn't like other sports. Don't compare them and and no, not all other sports work that way, the English Premiership doesn't have any kind of playoff system and often has the title decided before the final match. |
