Anyone else think double file restarts @ Martinsville are dumb? Imagine running 2nd with 5 laps left and the caution comes out. Great. Now you have to fight tooth and nail to not lose 4, 5, maybe more positions on the restart

Not at all.

If the guys at the local track can deal with it and learn to keep their spot, then the Cup guys should do just fine with it.

I only have one thing to say about today (and it doesn't involve Junior or Harvick...)

Michael McDowell is a moron.

Takes Ambrose out because he wants to "make this race count", and he still finishes 6 places behind him. Maybe he should stick to start-and-parking.

That was a really impressive run from Junior, but he needs to actually do it almost every week like Johnson and Gordon are capable of.

There are probably about 10 drivers that I actually want to see do well, and every single one of them wrecked or had problems, except JPM. At least we had an entertaining finish.

That was an epic Marty weekend. :D Great racing in trucks and Cup all the way, with a whole bunch of different contenders all day long. I was so pulling for Jr. at the end, darn it, but that was just plain good, hard racing at Martinsville. Jr. got loose under braking and just let Harvick get his nose alongside off the corner. But even when he tried the cross-over, it might have barely worked to his advantage if most of Harvick's rear quarter panel wasn't already gone, lol, and Jr. had nothing to touch on his car like he did when he rubbed on Kyle. Going in any deeper than that would've sent Harvick around and that's not how he'd want to win. So an anti-climatic finish but just as good to see Harvick win. Even though last year I thought he was being a dick to Logano or anyone not famous enough to race him hard, he's a hard guy to dislike. Maybe this year, he'll have the bonus points for wins going into the Chase instead of a meaningless points lead.

Also surprised that the expiry date on the new, improved Kyle Busch still hasn't run out despite having good reason to, given how his races have been going of late. Maybe he's for real this time..

As for McDowell, that was uncalled for that early in the race. Really did not like to see that but it's Marty.

Mattioli and Norm Benning are good for comedy relief so they need to keep on trucking.

The drivers would probably love a wider groove and some progressive banking at Marty too, like they got at Bristol. But that race had everything we've been missing at Bristol since the reconfiguration so it just shows that you must never give in to the drivers whining and try to preserve what the fans like instead.

+1 about ruining Bristol.
