Never a fan of Martin. But I felt kinda bad for him.

Junior should of won anyways.

Congratulations to the driver that replaced Tony Stewart (and has done such a damn fine job in replacing him).

C'mon, dude's like 10. Was brought to Cup too quick, which wasn't his fault, really. Gibbs' boner for him kinda caused that.

Glad to see Dale Jr's interviewing skills haven't improved at all

I think that sums up his pit strategy quite well "Can we start over?"

I'd like to congratulate Steve Letarte. I see he is still in the fine form that he was when he was Gordon's crew chief.

As for Gordon? I'm not sure I really have any words for this season.

I'm still laughing at junior. It is live tv. He asked if they could start over and ralph actually literally started over. It was very weird form both of them haha.

I'd have been ok with it going green to the end when Kenseth and Jr had like a 5 second lead on 3rd... hehe.

So from Jeff Gluck's twitter
Quote:
Hey, FYI on Dale Jr TV interview: There was an unruly fan making a commotion nearby and Jr was distracted

Probably wanted Letarte's head

Every time Jr's interviewed, all I can think of is this....

I like twitter, it's efficient and I'd rather read people's bullshit in 140 characters on Twitter than longer bullshit on Facebook that you can only get to when you wade through invites to events you'll never go to and games you never want to play.

However I don't like the way NASCAR are turning it into their defacto way to talk to their fans.

Most of the NASCAR chat on Twitter are about how the races are boring as hell this year but somehow NASCAR thinks gimmicks like this Twitter product placement will distract them from that instead of listening to their complaints in the first place.... :yuk:

I was kinda thinking about Logano's career once the race was done (and while I was waiting for Prometheus to start).

He had pretty much the same route as everyone else had, running this and that and getting pretty much everyone's attention. Once he was legal, he hit the Nationwide Series in 2008 and won in his second or third start (which was amazing). Then, Tony announced he was leaving Gibbs, and the plan unraveled from there.

From zero to full time in a few months? That was crazy. Even Sliced Bread v.1 (Jeff Gordon) needed a couple full Busch years to learn the ropes. Smoke had two part time years in the Busch Series before heading to Cup... Kyle Busch had one and a half years under his belt.

Aside from Kevin Harvick, I can't think of anyone who ran full schedules (or almost full) schedules in the two series that early on in their career.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Joey Logano has benefitted nearly as much by running as he has since '09 (lots of racing, all the friggin' time) as he would have if he just focused on running a full Nationwide season 'til 2010 or something.

Just some random thoughts. Sorry if they're a bit scatterbrained. haha

I missed this race, but damn I got so excited reading the posts and seeing the possibility of Jr. winning, or Mark Martin having a chance. My heart sunk with the "Logano wins" posts. :( I know he hasn't won in Cup in a long time either, but somehow it still has the "same old shit" feeling to it. Maybe it's because of all the Nationwide races he's won this year.

There was a plus side to not winning this race.

Not having to have him in your picture.
