If they didn't do anything for Carl when he rampaged through NASCAR in 09/10 then I doubt Kyle will get anything.

So, that dirty move by Jake Crum in the truck race wasn't ignored.

Quote:
CATCHFENCE.com has learned that Crum was notified by NASCAR this week that his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series license had been downgraded, making him Ineligible to compete at tracks 1.5-mile and larger in length until further notice.

His current license status approves him to compete at tracks 1.25 mile or shorter; plus road courses.

Hope people pay attention to this. This is a great call by NASCAR, and hopefully should deter other people (see: Gaulding, Gray) from acting out in the future.

They took time to deliberate and made a good decision.

Justin Allgaier was 3rd quick in the first round of qualifying. Highest up I've seen Harry Scott's team after any round of Cup qualifying.

How has JWT not had his downgraded? Also is this the first time NASCAR has done something along these lines?

Johnson won the pole.

And Patrick was really strong again. Fastest in Round Two and fourth on the grid.

Harvick's team timed his run too late, and the session was over before he crossed the S/F line to start his lap.

Kenseth had a similar issue, but I think theirs was due to waiting too long to try to cool off the car after a botched attempt.

So I'll be leaving by plane to Charlotte tomorrow evening and staying at a friends house for the weekend. He had extra tickets to the 600 so I thought "eh what the hell."

This will be my first NASCAR race at any track other than Daytona and I'm pretty excited. Been to Charlotte before but never on a race weekend.

I actually got offered free tickets to go to the 600 as well, but already had plans with my daughter this weekend, so can't go.

It's pretty awesome. Been there a bunch. They handle traffic well. Better than a lot of tracks I've been too (I'm looking at you Loudon). Have about 6 lanes and open most lanes to the way traffic is flowing before and after the race. Get there early and tailgate! My brother isn't even going to the race but is holding a tailgate party there lol.

If Danica can hold her own and get another top 10 after 600 miles, my opinion of her as a race car driver will forever change.

I will have to sit at the edge of a calm pond at sunset and contemplate the meaning of my life and reevaluate all of my beliefs up to this point.

I dunno, folks - I consider Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart to be the best of the best, and they're not guaranteed jack squat these days. I wouldn't be surprised if Danica finished 20-30 as usual, but then again, that happens. It's not like it would be out of the ordinary, even for the best in the sport in "championship-calibre equipment" (MAJOR LOL'ing whenever I hear that, btw). *shrugs*

What is this forum, "get offered free tickets to some of the best races in motorsports then don't go" Light?

You're a total Omega, you are.

Family comes first. Especially when you don't see said family that often. My daughter is everything to me. And I don't see her except a couple days a week.

If Danica can regularly score some top 10s then that's one thing, but a couple of good results won't change 2 seasons of being appalling at best. It's considered an achievement because we're so used to seeing her tooling around in 31st place. The reality is that her car should be in the top 20 every single week. That should be the norm, not the exception.

Racing comes first. Especially when you don't see said Racing that often. Racing is everything to me. And I don't see it except a one day a week.

Fixed!

(SRS, yeah yeah, racing is nothing compared to family, I get it :p )

Supposedly Scott Riggs/David Hyder (testing) are the key to Danica's recent performance: http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-commentar ... ck-success

Just realized the busch race today is during the day. I have the same feeling now that I used to have before a night race.

Jeff Gordon is having back spasms and will skip happy hour. Regan Smith on stand-by for the race.
