So close to a full strike on the water barrells at the end of pit lane.

Brad just plain bombed it in there. Nowhere near the apex.

And AJ was just pathetic. There was no hope of him making a clean pass.

Please no as that'll promote Logano to the win, kinda like as deserving as Massa winning the 2008 Belgian GP.

It's just racing guys. Those cars don't turn or brake well, that's why it's fun to see them on the road courses.

Bristol is up next after the off week (for Cup), they swapped weeks with Michigan this year.

I think it will be single lane again too, hope it isn't but wouldn't be shocked :/

also hope that the Mod race doesn't get weather affected again

Wasn't everyone saying in a previous Bristol race the track used to be exciting because it was single lane so guys had to move eachother to pass? The progressive banking added another lane and took that away, everyone complained and they removed some banking to try and bring it back a bit.

I like all of the versions that Bristol has had (26 degrees/flat (36 was only advert), dirt, progressive, grinded progressive)

the cars don't help with the racing product considering how much aero plays into effect now. Cup would be better if they had more power I think. Xfinity only gets really racy if there is lap traffic or a late race restart anymore (if Ganassi has the #42 hooked up enough anyways to contend with the Gibbs cars)

Mods usually have side by side racing there but overall it depends on which team has the best motor/chassis combo there (Spec Motor with either a LFR or Troyer TA2 chassis in recent years)

One lane on the bottom is fine. That results in the bumping and banging Bristol we all loved. One lane at the top makes it basically impossible to pass because there's not enough room to move someone.

Multi-groove Bristol was always a terrible idea.

Well then, you'll be glad to hear they're messing with it again.

Yeah, I read that earlier today. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Bristol night race. Once upon a time a race to start up all night for......now a race to record and watch on x2 speed.

The peak of NASCAR's popularity was before they repaved Bristol. After the repave, its been in constant free fall.

The repave of Bristol was just one of a series of bad decisions made around that time along with repaving Talladega, the CoT, the tires in the 08 Brickyard 400, etc.

Truex was being easy on the 11 as they're teammates and all so Brad got fed up and turned him. Wish he'd done it sooner so he could've gone to work on the 11 by final corner.

I think I read that they are using the low downforce package that they ran there earlier in the season, so it might not be too bad.
