Yea this was a time Brad was just racing hard for the win, which he needs to do. All JJ winning did was clusterfuck the whole weekend to Phenoix. Harvick is a BOSS there, look for a dominating run from him...and we know JAFF will turn someone at Phenoix. Say what you will, but this "manufactured" drama is pretty intense.

Did anyone NOT think there would be a fight? This is too predictable now.

I keep typing stuff and deleting it because I have no idea how to correctly say what I'm thinking. It's like 85% negative. This just seems like too easy a situation for guys to dump on Brad. Like they are doing it just because they can. He needs to win to move on and he tried it. Every driver would've done it. I feel bad for him that he was the guy behind the 24 and 48 there.

Good thing for Brad is that he doesn't have to win now. The 4th spot is within easy range and if Newman has a bad day next week he's in danger too.

I wonder how severe the penalty would be for wrecking somebody out of a championship win.

It creates headlines, NASCAR loves headlines, no penalties.

Seriously, fucking kill everyone.

This IS NASCAR afterall.

You know it probably wouldn't have happened if NASCAR stopped letting teams flair the skirts like they do. Many tyres were cut because of that.

Hypothetical: the 2 and 24 both advance to the final round. Does Gordon still hold that grudge and act like a dipshit even though today's incident will have literally been of no consequence in that case?

Will any media peeps be man enough to take Brad's side on this?

Almost certainly. Same way Harvick has vowed to stop Kenseth from winning the championship for daring to have a wheel hop. As a general rule, NASCAR drivers are dipshits.

In 2011, the two biggest psychopaths in the series battled hard and clean for the title. Three years later, everyone else is a fucking WWE numbskull.

What's happening?

I'd say after next weekend in Phoenix, we should have a pretty good idea who's going to win the championship, just by who's in and who's out

I'd say so. It seems he's pissed at Brad as a person for how he acts on the track, so I don't think he'd forgive Brad if the results still go in his favor.

Still pulling for no-wins Newman.

They don't pick actual sides. They just fling around buzzwords like "excitement" "intensity" "bad blood" "aggression" "elimination" and make sure they appease the great NASCAR in the process.

Seems like the twitter media is 95% on Jeff's side.

He just did what any other true racer would have done in the same situation, it's just Brad is such s prick off the track that nobody really likes him and likes to see him as the bad guy, even my dad absolutely hates him, the only reason my phone isn't ringing with him irate about Brad is because of the time

I'd love to see that, just because it's a championship system "designed" to put emphasis on winning. I wonder how the NASCAR media would justify that if that happened.
