There's no second hub attached to the axle, so either it's the whole wheel or the hub and tyre flew in different directions.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Hope everyone's ok, horrible crash. Main problem is that the car went front-first into the fence - not seen that before.

It's Allen Bestwick this time. Really concerned about the wheel that flew into the stands, and everyone at the fence. Not good.

Some more Jeff Gluck tweets, in chronological order.

Seen two fans removed on backboards so far. Medics still working on some fans in stands. We can hear sirens now.

They are now bringing backboards to upper deck (Sprint Tower). That’s a long way for debris to travel.

The stream I have been watching rewound and showed the wreck several times. Definitely at least a tire. I think a whole wheel.

I think he's ignoring what he really saw.

Gluck saying that two fans have been taken away on stretchers, more stretchers are being brought all the way to the back.

I may be wrong, but I think the track officials tend to keep people away from the very edge of the fence.

I think the Kentucky Speedway (I'm sure there are a couple others as well) system is the best. The front row of the stands is actually elevated and several feet back from the fencing itself. The gap is just a concrete pathway for only authorized personnel and whatnot.

"Talked to Annett's team. No one would comment further on his condition at this time."

- Somebody on Twitter. "Tom Bowles"

No idea who that is or how reliable a source.

Something on Twitter about pitroad being cleared for helicopters. Again, NO CLUE how reliable a source that is.

Yeah, that's not good to see. There's no way they should be letting people that close to the fence. And that has nothing to do with what we just saw. I would have said that all day long before any race.
