Typical. DISUpdates on twitter says drying the track too. Maybe they are on the backstretch at the moment.

I know it's the fault of the idiots for being such idiots but with all of this idiocy, I'm starting to question replaying the 2013 500

@NASCARDirector - And if they replayed the 1974 500, somebody would be tweeting about how Richard Petty was driving the wheels off it

jensen100 Or complaining about how FOX has changed their scoring again to no scoring at all.

Now for actual news...

Update. Drying continues. Radar still a bit dicey but not raining now. Hoping for a prime time start

I'm willing to bet money this race isn't continuing today.

As mike joy put it... NASCAR doesn't want to race until halfway. As of now it can go to tomorrow and be completed. If they start it now and make it to lap 101 it can not be moved until tomorrow. Could rival 2003 as the shortest Daytona 500 ever!

It's not even 6pm Eastern yet. They've got plenty of time to run this race.

Early in NASCAR races we either bitch about the quality of racing or the lack of racing :p

As I said it depends on what the forecast for the rest of the evening is. If they restart and it rains befor halfway they'll postpone, if it rains after halfway they'll try and redry but depending on how much rain and the time we might get a race called short like 2003. Time will tell

Def should get it in tonight based off of that radar, but it's changed once already.
