Should be around 6.

Just keep up with the thread. Once Gaara starts moaning about the national anthem it'll be time to switch on.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Wow.... going to be so close! Daytona Beach is right on the line. They could miss the showers or just get the edge of them. Unfortunately if they do get them it's an all day affair and will most definately delay, post-pone or shorten the race depending upon the time.

Ok cheers. North London derby, Carling cup, then this - Sunday afternoon productivity will be at a very low rate.

I was reminded of this:

This is very true, but he's now done it so often over the years it's an official part of the build-up. :p

The anthems are terrible every year... I only give exceptions to instrumentals, and whenever they get the drivers' kids to sing.

I'm normally optimistic when it comes to weather, but there is no way in hell they will get the full race in today looking at the radar. :(

I think this is a webcam around the speedway area. Pretty cloudy.

The problem is fairly complex as it is 80% chance of rain, and 80% chance of rain tomorrow. Do you hold your biggest event on a tuesday? Not to mention the fact that the teams have to head home to Charlotte, then travel cross country to Phoenix by friday! With that eliminated off weekend to start the schedule, do you postpone to easter weekend? I think it's going to be a night time Daytona 500 or one stretched out to a little today and a little tomorrow. But the sense of urgency to get to the front thinking you may only need to win the Daytona 250 could make this even more wild than the truck and nationwide races!

If they get past lap 100 today it's going to be scary.

Remember how batshit '09 was once they went past halfway?

Not to mention it now pays 200 grand to lead the halfway lap.. with rain in the area it may pay a whole lot more. Also the stipulation was if it is under caution then the 5th consecutive green lap after it would count as the money lap (meaning another quick yellow and the halfway money could be paid out at lap 114 or something). Ah the excitement builds.

Yep, once it get's past halfway people are going to take risks, Some of which are bound to be stupid.

The Shootout might end up tame in comparison.

Was looking for a live Daytona cam but found this instead, not sure if it's old news here. Pretty cool.

I am here at the track already this morning, very cloudy but no rain. Will do my best to keep you all updated, though with RaceDay on SPEED starting in 15 min I probably won't have to.

This schedule change is going to bite them in the ass. It was nice last Sunday during qualifying, wasn't it?

Just been catching up with what's happened so far (saw the NNS race last night but nothing before it) - seems to have been a pretty crash-happy week. Anyone who's missed my presence/valuable insight in the thread thus far will be happy to know I'll be here tonight :p Hoping the rain stays away and we get a good race!

also kurt busch is a dick
