Is it sad I'd actually be a tiny bit alright if Kyle Busch won if they were at the short track? Wow that's sad...

I would be okay with Kyle (Busch) winning lower series races, if he actually raced against someone for it instead of lapping the field 5 times.

The media tends to forget when he had his actual team in Xfinity, outside of JGR, he went winless outside of Kurt winning at Richmond. After that season he sold it back to JGR and the 54 was just the 18 as we know it today. I find it funny his brother was the Only one out of the 2 to actually win an Xfinity race under KBM.

Bring 'em back to IRP for fuck's sake. I'm only looking forward to the two road courses and the season finale.

I wonder how many people that watched that race actually paid for their ticket themselves and not through competitions, sponsors or giveaways.

I love the fact that people are quick to dismiss Kyle Busch's wins as running in superior equipment compared to the field, in a time where the rules are meant to keep the specifications of the cars so close to dissuade a competitive advantage. Meanwhile, everyone lauds Richard Petty as The King, even though he ran during a time where the performance gap was enormous, specifications were merely suggested, and Petty Enterprises ran on a budget sometimes 10x that of the next competitor.

But that's none of my business.

Hey you forgot the modern way of never letting facts get in the way of a baying mob.

Many people acknowledge that Pearson was better than Petty and like the late David Poole said, a lot of races Petty was the only there (lol). But right now it's not that people are slighting Kyle's ability but the fact that the best Cup team in business is whoring out a second-tier series with the arguably best Cup driver in the sport today. People would bitch the same way if Mercedes and Lewis suddenly decided to blitz the GP2 series. But unlike NASCAR, F1 has the common sense to disallow that.

Pearson would have been the 7 time champ if he'd run full time

I'm in no way discounting Kyle's ability to drive a race car. He is most likely the best in the business today. My deal with this whole thing boils down to NASCAR and how they have allowed it to get this way all because of money. What are the facts about the Xfinity series? The cars suck. The Cup teams own it. The Cup drivers win majority of the races. The attendance is atrocious. Plain and simple, it is not a good product at all. I've quit watching outside of RP tracks and road courses. I'll follow along on Twitter but that's it. NASCAR and the teams say without the Cup drivers the sponsorships wouldn't be there. I call bullshit on that. Youd find companies that will eventually attach themselves to an up and coming driver looking to ride them to the Cup series. I used to love watching the Busch Series when majority of the races were won by regulars and didn't mind the occasional Cup driver running. This product today fuckin sucks.

The thing that baffles me most is how NASCAR has spent the better half of 3 years trying to improve racing in the Cup series by taking off downforce, yet they haven't touched the Xfinity cars as the series continues to flounder... knowing very well what the solution is because they've used it on the cars in the garages 100 feet over...

And the fact that they are "listening to the fans" with the changes in the Cup Series but totally ignore the fans when it comes to Xfinity.
