It's no an official GWC is it, it's the final 2 laps of the scheduled distance? |

This weekend may be the first chapter to the ultimate demise of the sport. |

I think you're a little too wound up, man. That caution for the 4 and 33 didn't seem fishy at all. Just an inexperienced driver getting loose IMO. |

Guess that was a coincidence, (still pissed at the manufactured invisibris cautions in the NNS and CWTS) but I'm REALLY interested how they call the finish of that Cup race this week. A lot of credibility for the the sport in the future is at stake. |

Not saying I'm surprised, but here's Nascar.com's only article on the matter: NASCAR Statement on Saturday Race at Richmond |

No, but waiting 50 laps to throw the caution for Gaughan's shredded tire to erase Chastain's lead and put Ty back on the lead lap was fishy to me. NASCAR is dead. Watching for the one or two crashes per race from here on out. |

Lots of overreacting in this thread. F1's seen more than its fair share of team orders and idiotic decisions in the past, but I don't exactly see it struggling. |

Yea but... NASCAR is struggling. The empty seats and car counts don't lie. |

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Yeah MWR sucks for what they did but a lot of people would've done the same thing if they were in their shoes. |

A lot of people HAVE done the same stuff. Just different implications. Quote: In 2004, Earnhardt Jr's intentional spin at Bristol.
In 2011, Richard Childress Racing's scatter chatter was reviewed exhaustively after Paul Menard spun to cause a caution that helped teammate Kevin Harvick snatch a victory from Jeff Gordon. Last year, Denny Hamlin pitted in the closing laps under the green for no discernible reason other than giving up a position to help Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch gain a point (he still missed the Chase). |

I don't think pitting for position is a big deal compared to causing intentional cautions. At worst, if NASCAR decides take action against MWR, expect nothing more than a small point penalty. |

I have absolutely no beef with what MWR did. None. What I am so angry about is I am sick and tired of bullshit cautions and bullshit calls/no calls. Friday night's Nationwide race made me the maddest I have been in some time. The Hal Martin caution is one of if not the dumbest caution of all time. Yes, Keselowski was running down Brian Scott, but I don't think he would have caught AND passed him in the laps that were left. Then the restart no call was icing on the cake. Then the truck race yesterday. Ross Chastain absolutely smoking the field. Then the caution comes out. For debris. 1. The debris was for shredded tire NOT EVEN in the racing groove. 2. Said debris had been laying in the same damn spot for the previous 40-50 laps before NASCAR finally got bored/wanted Ty Dillon to get his lap back from being off sequence... Why can't one of the major TV executives get interested in the Lucas Oil Late Models or some other dirt racing series and bring that to quench my motorsports lust? MotoGP, even though it's one of three drivers who win every race is the most fun racing to watch on TV anymore. |
