I think a SAFER Barrier is needed on the inside of that straightaway and the part where the wall juts out by where Sadler hit should go away. I don't see any reason why it's there. I'm glad Sadler is OK, that was a very nasty hit he took. |

Why don't we just ditch all these pointless angled walls? Does every track have to have a bad accident with one of them before they get fixed or can we start using common sense to level them all right now? Kentucky had the Fuller crash, then thy fixed the wall. Vegas had the Gordon crash, then they fixed that one too. Guess it's Pocono's turn to have a lack of foresight. |

ESPN you are the most fucking retarded network ever. In the history of TV. Not even NBC and Bill Weber can touch that. Sincerely, all NASCAR fans. |

Fox wrote: Im asking myself right now why that wall is sticking out there.Keep it straight the service road is on the other side of it and the opening is really big. without that angle in the wall a car would cross the service road and hit a barrier at an even more severe angle. the whole section of the track needs to be re–engineered |

trout wrote: the whole section of the track needs to be re–engineered Absolutely. The infield and service roads all along the backstretches and tunnel turn need to be smoothed and levelled as well. |

Also it's ESPN they don't give a shit. Ya I know, but you have to coordinate your coverage. Fixed vantage point cameras (like long pond straight cam, front strech cam, helicopter cam) should maintain or zoom out to improve a properly framed shot during an accident. That's why they missed it. Normally the helicopter or the camera facing backwards in turn 2 would have caught it. With these cameras, you get more of a wide viewing angle at the expense of some detail. They should be used like this even during the accidents. Amateurish coverage, IMO. |

Did Kahne have damage to the front of his car before this caution? I saw the front end was pushed in a bit. |

That is just absolutely rediculous. A 90 degree angle with armco on the inside of a straight away they get above 175 mph on. Its just...why did nobody fix this before? This kind of thing isn't way unusual. Move of the race by the HANS device and the COT. |

I think tracks should be more proactive instead of reactive when it comes to recognizing and addressing any potential safety risks. It shouldn't take a wreck to show that there might be a potential safety risk. The solutions can be pretty simple, I think. For example, where the safety vehicles enter and exit the tracks. The best design would to angle those openings where they are going in the same direction as the track. That would eliminate the risks of any cars hitting an opening in the wall since cars don't spin in the opposite direction of where they were travelling. |

The worst thing about Pocono is that this isn't the first bad accident that has happen, I guess they're are waiting for someone to died first. |
