I can't believe Denny is the example here of keeping a level head, but you're 100% right. This is one situation where I can't understand how drivers keep making the same decision, and their owners keep allowing them to do it. Forget how NASCAR looks at the situation, you'd think the people paying the money would have recognised by now that blocks aren't worth the damage.

Apparently some places have been altered after video review so these are the final results:

lol at Gibbs and Gragson finishing outside the top 30. A silver lining to any raceday.

Gibbs run out of fuel on the last GWC restart while everyone else made it to the finish. To miss the mark by two laps on an oval is quite a feat, I seem to recall Piercarlo Ghinzani once run out of fuel at Imola 8 laps before the finish

The race was extended several laps because of the stupid GWC rules. They had enough fuel for the advertised distance and the first GWC sequence.

It astounds me how NASCAR was gifted an extra year of R&D for the next-gen due to Covid, and they still produce a career-shortening, potential deathtrap of a car.

Thank FUCK that wasn't the driver's side.

I saw a picture of a roll cage on one of the cars and the drivers side has more reinforcements on the roll cage around where the driver's door is on a passenger car.
