A day race would be awesome on that slick, abrasive surface.

Those tires were floating away.

Teams have said that there are between 9-14 inches of water by their haulers.

Holy fuck balls, I've never seen that much rain during a race weekend..maybe Talladega in 1991 was worse.

I 1000% agree, same with Darlington and most tracks in general. But for my own selfish reasons, I hope it stays on Saturday.

Remember the crazy Richmond day race in 02ish? Some big wrecks and Robby Gordon crashed into the end of the pitwall.

I wonder how NASCAR feels, seeing that some tires were clearly soaked.

Carl Long posted a video on FB of some of his crew jacking up his car as the water was so deep and rising it was about to go into the exhaust pipes.

Wild start already. I'm thinking if I should invite people to watch the race live or the rain will ruin everything. The house may be semi-full already. With this rain then..... Have always a B plan... :D

About the chase, I think all the races, including this one, have big potential for epic finishes if the cautions fly the right way to make for crazy strats. Anyone without a win in the top 30 surely will try something, why not? And for the other races, some chasers surely can try to get a win to lock on, or they blew up and only would get tru by winning. So many drama scenarios possible. And look at the tracks that will end each chase segment - Dover and Phoenix really maximize the potential for crazy strategies, as the track position is really important. Oh, and the other one is Dega.

Will Kimmel posted a video on Facebook of a crew member "swimming" underneath their car as it was up on jackstands.
