Well, they did anyway. Fuck that.

They are trying to keep Brad out of this as much as possible. Brad would probably try to talk Bob out of it.

People say Dale Jr is NASCARs baby, but based on everything we see, surely Carl is at the moment. The shit he gets away with is unreal, and now they are making up BS to save his ass.

I'm normally against this sort of stuff, but enough is enough. Get Bob in that car and get Carl put in his place.

I can't really justify any driver being wrecked on purpose but I won't shed a tear if Carl gets turned into the wall because the whole thing is beyond stupid now.

What I would find hilarious is if Bob keeps threatening to take him out every time he's being passed, but never actually hits him. Carl would be freaking out everytime he came up to pass him.

That seems so retarded to me. This is a Brad and Carl deal, so why in the hell should they be so adamant about keeping Brad out of it?

I agree there, nothing really to do with Bob. I'd much rather see Brad put Carl into the fence again personally.

Yeah, I personally don't like intentional wrecking, but Carl needs to be taught a lesson, not Brad. We all know that Brad's gonna be aggressive anyway, sometimes overaggressive. I'm accepting that fact. Carl, on the other hand, is very trigger-happy when it comes to emotions. He may look nice and all, but rub him the wrong way just a bit and he'll take it to the extreme. The fact that most fans are brown-nosing Carl really makes me sick about what he CAN do when he's in rage mode.

I personally want Brad to force him to turn right at a left-hand corner at a high-speed track. Or, more preferably, have Brad knock the living daylights out of Carl with his fists.

Seems the two people who are really angry at Carl are Bob and Brian Keselowski. Brad himself doesn't seem to have that Denny Hamlin attitude where he says he's going to turn somebody the next week, then go out and do it. Won't feel bad if somebody doesn't stuff Carl's car in the wall though.

Because he knows he'll be penalized points if he does retaliate. Brad's running for a championship, Bob & Brian aren't.

Yeah, it's the curse of the retalition that could possibly be bothering him. You can see it all the time if you watch any sport. Often doesn't seem to matter what causes one guy to get wound up but it always seems to be the person retaliating that gets caught and punished. It's a bit of a loose comparison since essentially everything is caught on camera in NASCAR but now that they'll have a closer eye on the two again, it seems likely that the next encounter will result in some sort of action being taken.

Of course another thought is that Brad may simply be playing his cards very close to his vest. Lots of guys get punished after blatantly advertising (whether it be through team radio or a media interview) that they're going to take someone out. Maybe Keselowski just doesn't want to draw extra attention.

Penalties just came out: Carl fined 60 drivers and owners points, $25,000. Both Brad and Carl on probation til the end of the year.

So Brads on probation for being wrecked?

Post subject:  Re: Brickyard 400/Nationwide + Trucks at IRP

If the first probation Carl was put on had been to the end of the year, I wonder how much more severe this penalty would have been.

Probably put Brad on probation to prevent him from attempting any type of retaliation that's my guess anyways.

Yeaa I expect it's to stop Brad from retaliating. Harsh for Brad but I guess I can understand their reasoning.

I can definately understand why both Carl and Brad were both put on probation for this incident. I think this is the best thing Nascar could do to prevent another incident between the two of them from happening again this season.

In that case, they should've put the entire K Motorsports team (26, 92) on probation.

If Brad can't do it because of probation, and Bob can't do it because he doesn't qualify, Brian would do it because Bob would be in his ear telling him so.

And if that's the case, go Brian.
