Yeah, based on what we've seen of him and his immaturity, I have a hard time believing that is sincere, if it is even written by him.

The phrase "A day late and a dollar short" comes to mind with that apology.

Good for him. He can still fuck right off for all I care.

His PA has done a good job on that letter.

Kyle's probably still thinking he's in the right though.

Also I wouldn't like to see him in Indycar, I'm more worried about the damage he could do to other people than himself tbh.

To be fair, it was probably a crappy R&D car, just like the ones Terry Labonte drove when Kyle took over the 5.

Now what if Kyle does get suspended for the final 2 races. If he appeals that to race next weekend at Phoenix and it gets sustained or whatever, he would definitely miss Homestead but then would he miss the Daytona 500 too? Could be interesting.

Don't know if Gibbs and crew would even try to fight it if he does get suspended though.

R&D car or not, he still couldn't turn a better lap than Kirk Shelmerdine's car at Texas and Loudon.

Kyle Busch's form as a 19 year old rookie in 2004 = highly relevant.

Kyle Busch will never win a championship as long as the Chase system remains. He's only won a single Chase race in his career at Phoenix 2006.

In 2008 he won 8 races before they got to Richmond and when the Chase started he was absolutely useless.

Not a chance that apology came from him. He showed no remorse in the interview afterwards. He isn't sorry he did it, he's sorry he got in trouble from it. He has to apologise because he's been bitch slapped by NASCAR and doesn't want to make it worse for himself.

It's damage limitation.

Even without the Chase, he'd still be worthless. The fact remains that A. he can't get out of trouble on the track and B. he still feels the need to invade the lower division series just to ramp up his win count.

We'll see when there's an actual interview with him if he's genuinely sorry. When he gave that interview during the truck race he hadn't yet been suspended and didn't know the gravity of the situation. Humility may not be Kyle's strong point but I think there's a good chance this will change him - again, you only have to look back to Harvick in 2002 to see the effect a suspension can have. However, NASCAR's let Busch get away with this shit far longer than they let Harvick, so we'll have to see.

Just watched the truck race. Can't even put my anger in words right now. I wanted someone to bash his pouty face in with a baseball bat during his interview. It's bad enough you feel the need to flog your log in the minor leagues but to not have any respect for the regulars and wreck them because your ego was hurt is quite something else. I feel the initial incident was Kyle's fault too. Ron had the edge going into the corner and it was Kyle who shoved it in on the outside anyway and got Ron loose. It's great that he's being parked for the weekend but he should have been suspended for the rest of the season to really let it soak in.

I think the surprising thing out of it all was that NASCAR finally grew some balls and parked him for the weekend. I thought for sure they weren't going to do a thing after previous incidents involving Edwards, Gilliland and Kyle himself just to name a few went through to the keeper without punishment. Now I just hope this isn't a one-off and NASCAR starts seriously cracking down on incidents like this in the future.

They just need to maintain a fine line more often and not go back to where they'd penalize you 25 points for looking at someone wrong. When they came up with 'Boys, have at it' they probably didn't realize what a bunch of cowards most drivers are today and how often they'd use their cars as weapons instead of settling it face to face in the pits. I feel they should let things like mild retaliatory contact or pit fights slide and come down hard on things like what Carl and Kyle do/did.

The funny thing is, I hate Ron frickin' Hornaday. Thanks God his title hopes are over. I'm on Kyle's side in this one ;)

I don't really care fore Hornaday either but if you genuinely mean that, you're suffering a severe shortage of reason.

Please explain to me why NASCAR has the race starting an hour later than it should be. Especially when TV audiences are going to be switching over to NFL games to see the finishes to those games. And then also leave an hour gap between NFL Countdown and race coverage.

NASCAR, y u no make sensible business decisions.
