Just watched the tape delay TV coverage of the SDS race at Weedsport a couple weeks back. Damn that was a good finish.

-

Phelps hit a 19.5 at Oswego tonight in SDS testing. Heard that the track was smooth for the most part, just 1 bump going into turn 3.

Matt Sheppard on pole for the BBM 200 at Oswego. Tim McCreadie was barely able to make the show by qualifying 6th (only chance was today with Lucas Oil LM commitments on Friday and Saturday)

-

Burt Myers will be racing at Thompson in the NWMT race next week.

Sounds like the track has been pretty smooth at Oswego so far this weekend. The big show getting ready to start in a few.

I worked SDW this year with a Pro-Stock at Big Block team (at different times.)

I just got home, so the short version is...

Track was smooth as a babies ass but hard as cement. The 150 Small Block race sucked (no passing at all) and the first 100 laps of the Big Block race sucked just as bad. However, the second 100 laps were some of the best racing I've seen in a while. Peter Britten must've passed 30 cars after stopping at halfway for fuel and tires and did it all on the outside. Once he started going out there so did a lot of other guys and there was racing all over the place. Matt Sheppard pitted later, slapped on a new RR sneaker and proceeded to drive to the front passing Britten for the win out of Turn 2 down the back straight for the win on the last lap.

I don't know much about Britten, but he seems like a total BAMF. The few times I've seen him in person he's been amazing.

yeah that Big Block race was odd as hell. Never have seen a track go from rubber down / single file to multiple grooves out of nowhere like that. Damn good racing at the end for sure.

Even Bowman Gray wouldn't stoop to those levels.

Was the taser even necessary?

So apparently, there's a dirt late model movie in the works involving none other than John Travolta. And Michael Madsen. And Shania Twain.

I was just reading about that today. If they get to $1,000,000 then it becomes a $500K to win, $10K to start race. If they don't get 150 cars+ for that show I'll be shocked.

T-mac was in a position to win the championship but had a LR pop with 6 laps to go. :(

Richards got the title and the race win
