Oh shit I forgot about that one lol. I remember him having the meltdown during quarterback drills outside and some fans started booing him and he flipped his shit.

Sorry but if a drunk person was yelling at me and flipping me off, you're damn fuckin right I'm gonna get in their face. If this was Joe Whatever it wouldn't be a problem but it's Tony Stewart so we must break it down piece by piece. Why can't we see it as one human reacting to a drunk piece of shit human?

If you react with physical contact to a bit of non-threatening verbal/nonverbal abuse, you're unquestionably in the wrong.

If every athlete jumped into the seats when someone heckled them, the national guard would be called to every sporting event ever held.

Apparently this dude was an off-duty cop. Guess he forgot he wasn't wearing his uniform and failed miserably at "humbling" Tony. Tulsa County PD is even admitting 'yeah, he was being a real dick'. You know you must be a real piece of shit if you're a cop and your own department won't back you up.

Stert's redneck icon status trumps the cops' "one of us" code. He's even more powerful than I thought, lol.

I guess I'm Oberyn Martell to Tony's Tyrion Lannister, because I'm the only one who will be his champion. Tony has done some wretched shit throughout his career, and even though he did stuff where he was completely out of his mind, I've always tried to have his back. Like Harvick, I was a Stewart fan from day one, it's hard to break those loyalties I guess. Tony's an easy target, and he brought a lot of it on himself, but I still back him up 100 on this. Athlete's get heckled all the time, yeah, but he wasn't racing on the track or on a field or court, he was there just doing his thing. Disregarding the Kevin Ward incident (which really could have happened to anyone and was only a matter of time, considering how often those circumstances existed), Tony has done a hell of a lot to keep dirt track racing relevant, and that's why he was there. Wasn't really the place to be a dick.

I think that's one thing people are forgetting. Tony wasn't even there racing so why the fuck was this guy heckling him? I mean seriously, Tony was there helping and watching just like this guy was there to do. These are the fans that embarrass the motorsports world.

Heckle back. Be rude back. Say something back. Gesture back. But if you fall into the trap of being baited into a physical confrontation, you forfeit any reasonable amount of respect.

That would be the kind of headlines we'd see if he didn't go up into the stands.

Here's a little debate question.. What do you think was the best consecutive win streak in the modern era? Not track but races in a row? Harry in 92? Rustu in 93 and 94, Mark in 93? Jimmie in 07? Those are some examples.

Media Week starts today, NASCAR will be the first presser this week at 11AM

hope it's not the news we don't want to hear concerning the 2 lower levels on the Top 3 tier. But I got a feeling it is (considering it was leaked months ago now)

Harry was in 91. I'd lean towards his streak because he was wwinning cup and busch races in a row and sweeping weekends. He was the kyle busch of his time.

I hate to bring up Earnhardt (because I hate hearing those "if Earnhardt was here now" BS scenarios), but had a fan flipped off Earnhardt at some late model race or something, I could actually see him just flipping the bird back, and moving on with his life.

Smoke's reaction belongs in a Chappelle's Show "When Keepin' it Real Goes Wrong" skit.

It's apparently worse. Motorsport.com is reporting a "caution clock" for the Truck Series. Clock strikes zero, yellow comes out.

Caution clock to artificially close up the field, what the fucking fuck? That is utterly retarded. We want less bullshit cautions, not more!
