Keep the 47-1 points system and scratch the Chase entirely. You can put more of an emphasis on the importance of each individual race, instead of framing each race in the context of the Chase. Furthermore, depending on how the season shakes out you could have more guys in contention for the title, top-10 and top-25 in points than with the Chase format.

While the second reason would make the competition better, the first reason would make a hell of a lot more cash flow back into the series.

NASCAR could make all of the bright decisions necessary to survive tomorrow, but with the retard networks and their retarded production teams and retarded (for the most part) announcers actually driving the ship, it wouldn't mean a damn thing.

There's so many ways they can talk about stockcar racing, and so many ways to show the races, and yet they try to cater to the knuckle-dragging mouthbreathers who beat it to the lowest common denominator shit like wrecks, or get the 'casual fans' who think they're above this shit in the first place.

That's the thing that they don't seem to get. Most of the people who don't watch NASCAR think that it's just a bunch of fat rednecks going in circles, and changing a few rules and having the commentators dumb down to their level isn't going to change that.

As others have said, start the broadcasts with the drivers in their car on pitroad. Have a few interviews from inside the car with the driver's helmet on, ready to go.


Personally I do not want an hour and half pre-race. I don't care what Jimmy Johnson had for lunch 3 weeks ago or that Denny Hamlin took 4 shits yesterday instead of his usual two.
