Strangely, moving a race from Chicago to Pocono actually adds a bit of diversity to the schedule. It would really balance out even better if they ditch the other flat, 2.5-miler for it's short counterpart across town.

The tapered spacer makes Xfinity hard to watch basically anywhere but I'm in favor of getting away from the 1.5 mile shitty cookie cutters.

Yeah, looking on the bright side running at Pocono instead of Chicagoland means one less race at a cookie cutter track.

I don't think there's any short track in the US that could properly host a NASCAR national series these days. It would eitha a.) be too expensive b.) A logistical nightmare.

Who the hell wants an Xfinity race at Pocono??? So many good short tracks that could use a stand alone date, you're gonna go to a boring track for a race to be filled with usual Cup spoilers....This series is backwards as fuck.

Look on the bright side, one less unoriginal 1.5-miler on the schedule. At least Pocono's unique, even if it's a cure for insomnia (then again, what GNS race nowadays isn't?).

Yea true it is something different. Plus always some cool moves going into turn one. I would love to see an Xfinity race at a track like Salem. Yea it's improbable, but it'd be damn fun to watch.

Dale Jr. reported he wanted to broadcast Xfinity races next year, FOX quickly said they have nothing set in stone for him...You know they're not wanting any more southern voices commentating.

It seems like Junior is only like that when he's caught off guard or doesn't really want to talk. He was on Jimmy Kimmel last week and he was fine. I think having him in the both would be fun, if only for a few races

I'm not shocked but still sad, there is going to be a few of drivers hanging it up as far as full time here in a few years I think. :/

This is a transition period for NASCAR. Guys like Biffle, Kenseth, Newman are gonna start hanging it up in the next five years. Lotta great faces ready to take the realm.

Its got that late 1980's early 1990's changing of the guard feel about it when Yarborough, Pearson, Parsons, Petty all retired.

The depth of talent coming up couldn't be brighter though, the next 5 years (driver wise) are in good hands.
