They're just afraid Junebug will slow down if they drastically reduce grip/downforce. Remember he was good with Gen-4, terrible with the Gen-5 and fast again with the Gen-6. Plus he always whined about low grip situations. Remember him whining about how bumpy Daytona had gotten.

I highly doubt it is the way it is because Jr wants it that way... and Daytona got repaved because the asphalt was coming apart in the 2010 500 not because Jr was whining about the bumps...

Ah, I think the rules will still change. It's just they very conservative and slow changing philosophy. Let's focus now on the development of the 2015 package. And near the end will get this info, and make some tests and then really decide where to go. Just with the rain tyres, very slow change. But I really like to see him talking about aero push, not just "ohh 8/10 different winners, great success".

So apparently Nascar's reason for not throwing a caution on the last lap at Talladega is 'let 'em race'. How convenient for them. Somewhere out there, Regan Smith just kicked a kitten through an electric fan.

It was not really a serious post, just a dig at Jr being whiny about those things. :)

Yes, it's very, very slow. I know some people praise that approach of theirs but honestly, it's just too damn slow. Waiting a whole season to implement a change just for the teams benefit makes no sense. These are the best in the business, let them adapt. It's not like the racing is so incredible right now that it could get any worse.

From Robin millers mailbag, of all places.

Quote:
RM: It’s certainly a possibility but I imagine it’s contingent on what happens to her NASCAR career without GoDaddy. My southern spies tell me Miss Danica is headed to Roush Racing to join boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse in 2016, so who knows if Jack Roush is open to her running an Indy car. Like I said last week, I hear Clint Bowyer and 5-Hour Energy drink are headed to Stewart-Haas to take DP’s place so that eliminates Stew from bringing her to Indy. But I’ll try and get you 15 percent if she runs here again.

NASCAR doing it's best to make people forget them tearing the Labor Day date away from Darlington by promoting retro shit. All 4 SHR cars will have retro schemes too.

So Danica is going to run a throwback 2013 GoDaddy scheme?

Post subject:  Re: Random NASCAR Discussion

Who knows. I'm sure the right side of her car will be a throw back to every time she ran Darlington.

Harvicks is a Budweiser scheme doing a throwback to their 1st can of beer or some shit.
