The god awful voice and false annunciation of words and emphasis on wrong parts of the word just make her so goddamn annoying to listen to. I sure hope for Ryan's sake she doesn't talk like that in bed.

I don't mind Nicole Briscoe. And good for her, that's another NASCAR person hitting the Sportscenter desk... though I can't keep track of all their SC peeps these days. But Krista Voda is better in my opinion.

Don't mind her at all either. But of course, I don't hear the voice... I just see the ample bosom... Lol!

In the case of "are they or are they not," the National Guard nixes the sponsorship to Dale Jr. and Graham Rahal, likely from pressure from some dumb congresswoman bitch from Minnesota.

However, Rick Hendrick says that the National Guard are contractually bound with the team until 2015.

And Geoff(rey) Bodine calling for a driver's fund for ex drivers.

Pretty neat video of the abandoned Metrolina Speedway

I hate seeing pics and videos of old tracks that have closed and are now overgrown.... yet I absolutely love it.

Odd, I thought all military sponsorships where done on a year to year basis.

I thought so too but this is Dale Jr... Angie Skinner said on the radio that she was at HMS once and asked about their sponsorship and pretty much said that it was different when it came to Jr. That each team was the same but Jr's price tag was higher. And she was shocked at the difference. Don't quote me on this but it was something along these lines....

Also, Drive To End Hunger has extended is sponsorship with Gordon but will reduce it's number of races on the 24 from 23 to 13 races starting with the 2015 Daytona 500.

It's a sign of the times, man. The sport's two biggest drivers having to have a multitude of sponsors just to make it through the season.

Here's where the RTA's clout needs to make a difference - sponsorship ain't cheap when simply running a team is way too expensive. If guys like Hendrick struggle, think of the smaller and single-car teams from the middle to the back of the pack. It makes AJ's win yesterday all that much more impressive, when you think about it.

Of course, none of this is news to any of us. Shit needs to change.

Family sues NASCAR, Pocono over 2012 lightning death: NASCAR blew off a severe storm warning at the Pocono 400 race until the storm got so bad it had to stop the race, and 6 minutes later a fan was killed by lightning in the parking lot, his family claims in court. Brian Zimmerman was killed by lightning at 5:00pm on Aug. 5, 2012, his widow Marion claims in the Court of Common Pleas. She sued Pocono International Raceway and NASCAR, on Aug. 1. Ten other people were injured by lightning, one of whom sued NASCAR and the Pocono Raceway in July. Zimmerman claims that NASCAR and the Pocono Raceway received a severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather Service at 4:12pm, but they "did nothing" to stop the race or warn fans until 4:21, when they "attempted to use social media" to warn race fans of the approaching storm. Brian Zimmerman did not have access to social media at the raceway, his widow says. The defendants stopped the race at 4:54pm At 4:59, they used social media again to warn fans to seek shelter. Brian was hit by lightning at 5:00pm and died. In the July lawsuit, Jason Peneck's wife Erin claims her husband suffered "severe and permanent injuries, including, but not limited to, a traumatic brain injury, second degree burns, and dysautonomia."

Sorry I'm just getting around to this now, but this is the biggest load of horseshit that's ever been horseshat.

The announcement was made over the track PA SEVERAL TIMES that a severe thunderstorm was on its way, and encouraged people to seek shelter. A lot of people started filing out of the grandstands at that point, and most, like my mother and I, stayed in our seats until the rains started. This whole thing about social media might be true, but we didn't have access to social media, and we came out just fine.

Anyway, here's the deal - when we got the first warning, my sister said "Alright guys, I'm heading to my car." 20 years ago, she broke one ankle into 8 pieces (yep :yuk: ) and sprained the other, and on top of the persisting ankle pain has had some weight issues ever since. To say the very least, she doesn't walk very quickly. At all.

Still, she managed to make it from our seats at the start-finish line to the car in roughly the centre of the massive parking lot before it ever started to rain.

The PA announcement was PLENTY of time for people to take cover. Us crazy enough to stay behind stood under the grandstands (I know, not exactly safe either, but better than standing in one of several "Lake Poconos" created by the storm) made that choice, and Zimmerman and other fans made the choice to dash for their cars.

Like the Stewart thing, it sucks, but people have to be held responsible for their own actions.

3M leaving the 16 and heading to the 24 for 11 races each season 2015-2017. One of Roush's most solid sponsors gone.

Even more evidence that Roush should put the key in the door.

But yea, that font is and has been total shit.

Lol wasn't 3m the only reason Biffle was resigned by Roush?
