I was going to post that. I was there for that one. Fonda was my home track for years having grown up just up the road from there. Kenny Gates won the Pro Stock Hondo Classic which was cool since he's the guy my good buddy work's for and I've stooged for at Rolling Wheels and The Mile during SDW.

Good race really. Friessen came from nowhere to 2nd in the last 15 laps and with 5 more laps probably would've got Decker. Place went wild when Hearn broke. People hate that man. I respect the talent, but I won't lie, I cheered when he blew up.

Brett "the Corporate Jet" Hearn

I don't dislike the guy as much as most of the people around me in the stands but it is always nice to see other people win. Him and Tremont really have been stinking up the show at Malta for years.

Here is the half race/half demo derby I was in this weekend.

WRG/NY State confirmed today that Super DIRT Week will be ran at Central New York Raceway Park in 2016 and beyond. Now the question is, will they actually finish the track in time

I didn't expect them to choose that venue... at least not yet. At least it looks like they updated the website.

I don't expect it to be done on time but I'm a pessimist.

For it to be done on time they have to start building the damn thing.

I'll believe it when my ass is sitting in the seat next October. Glenn Donnelly has all of NY fooled and is going to fleece them. The taxpayers will wind up building this track IF it ever gets built at all.

My racing plans for the next couple of weeks are all jacked up. The plan was to go to Langley Speedway's final points race last weekend, their Day of Destruction event and Martinsville this week, then Super Dirt Week next weekend, but two consecutive weekends with rain have pushed all of the events except for the Day of Destruction to next weekend. For the first time in 7 years I'm going to miss the Late Model race at Martinsville. I've already got my tickets for Syracuse and everything planned, and I want to be there it just sucks I'm going to have to miss Martinsville.

I wonder how many of us are going to the Finale at the Fairgrounds?

I will be there Thurs-Sunday and hitting all the satellite shows (Brewerton Thurs, Rolling Wheels Fri and Sat). Staying at the Comfort Inn Fairgrounds (10 mins from the Mile.)

If I could travel up north for SDW, I would do it in a heartbeat. Might get the PPV for it though so I can watch it at least. Planning on going to the final night of WoO World Finals though so I can at least see 1 NE-type dirt modified race live this year.

It's funny, the big debate going on right now is whether the World Finals are better than SDW. There's A LOT of people saying it's the World Finals. Hope to get down there for that one someday.

I just noticed that CNYRP is planning the oval to be a 1/2mi synthetic dirt oval used for harness racing as well. I assume that means literally zero banking (much like the current 1mi SDW track). Are there any examples of 1/2mi synthetic tracks with 0 banking out there? How can they justify having SDW on this track?

It's a mess. Like I said, Glenn Donnelly is taking NY and it's race fans for a sleigh ride. No one will be more shocked than I if this track ever even happens. They justify doing it because that's where the money is. NYS didn't give Rolling Wheels 250K to have the race... Donnelly has aligned himself with the only land to build a track on and also promotes the only other place in CNY that can host it. Knoxville is a half mile, so is Eldora with the Dream. Boone is either a half mile or a little under. Thought is that with a half mile, more cars will compete.

There is no flat half mile that I know of. Fonda is damn near flat. So is Knoxville actually. The synthetic dirt... HAH! Ask those who went to Brewerton a few years ago or Rolling Wheels this year how the dustless dirt was.

Personally, I think after this year SDW is done forever and that the World Finals will become the big show in WRG's portfolio. I think this is what they want. They haven't really wanted to be at the Mile in quite a while.

The only other major half mile dirt tracks I can think of is Calistoga and Terre Haute.

meanwhile in Australia, Trenton + Flemington in a can

Local drivers destroying their own equipment in the name of "revenge" has never made sense to me.

Unless something happened before the start of that video, why was he going for revenge?
