Yeah, but they ran with 10 second gaps between each car. Literally nothing happened for like an hour long stretch. I'd much rather watch a derpfest -- at least SOMETHING is happening in that case.

So the race sucks if it's green and it sucks if they derp around like crazy?

It was kind of nice to see them actually drive, not just flail around running into each other like retards and run 40 laps under caution.

It sucked because the Busch brothers drove away from everyone else.

I see your point, but them driving around like idiots and spending half the race under caution was getting really old.

Why were they added in the first place? I don't even remember.

The old cars were getting to Cup cars speeds.

No Kyle, youre an f-ing amateur for clogging your radiator with grass dumbass
I had a feeling he'd take screwing himself over with the kind of maturity and grace we've all grown accustomed to seeing Kyle have these days. Wait...

But yeah, pretty lousy race by Watkins Glen standards. Ill give NASCAR credit though, they didnt go theyre typical route of throwing full course yellows at the first sign of a single car spin when Stenhouse and Mike Wallace turned around

kinda, the old Nationwide, aka short wheelbase Cup cars, were faster than the Cup cars when they switched to the COT full time.

The Trucks are still the fastest of the 3 through the corners, but they have no power down the straights.

He has matured so much this season.

Aside from slowing the cars down to make the Cup cars faster again ( :yuk: ), it was also around the time they changed the engine rules to make the Nationwide and Truck engines essentially identical to the Cup engines with reduced horsepower via the tapered spacer to "cut costs."

I kinda wish they had....purism only goes so far. When you're bored off your arse you'll take excitement however it comes.

And I find it surprising they didn't when on ovals they usually have their finger on the caution button and instantly throw it when a car is having a minor half spin way off into the infield yet here cars can sit just off the racing line for ages (blatently trying to bring out a yellow in a couple of cases...) and they get nothing.

I know, expecting consistency in NASCAR is less likely than a ESPN actually capturing an accident with multiple angles, but it just seems a bit bizarre.

I had my finger on the x button as Kurt was crossing the line, did they ever replay whatever happened back at the final turn as the chequers were thrown?

They showed it eventually, it was an incident between two of the Turner cars. One of them got sideways and crunched the rear end pretty good. Buescher and Leffler maybe?

Not very expensive at all. You can go to autozone and buy one if you want.
