Ty Dillon will be running Nationwide full time next year, with Yuengling Light beer as sponsor for 8 races.

I'd say that means Austin will be in Cup next year for sure.

It's official; Tony Stewart out for the rest of the season, and Mark Martin will be in the car for 12 of the 13 races. Austin will drive at Dega (Mark really wants to avoid that place, it seems). Brian Vickers will get a head start on 2014 and will be in the 55 for all races but Dega, where Mikey will fill in.

A good move on all accounts, I think. Glad it could come together.

Team McClure, Inc. announced that Jeff Green will pilot the #14 Hefty/Reynolds Toyota during Friday nights Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The teams regular driver, Eric McClure, was admitted to a local hospital on August 12 and was diagnosed with acute renal failure after a series of tests. The Virginia drivers creatinine levels were elevated, signaling improper kidney function. McClure is still receiving treatment, but is hopeful to be released from the hospital this week. His status remains week to week. McClure said, "This has been a very challenging week for me, both physically and emotionally. Having a newborn and four other little girls, among other things, has also presented a challenge to my family. Recovery can be a slow and frustrating process, but thankfully we are seeing signs of healing. I can't thank everyone enough for all of the prayers, thoughts, and well-wishes during this difficult time and I can't wait to be back behind the wheel of the Hefty/Reynolds Camry.

SHR competition director Greg Zipadelli said the organization is looking to expand to a fourth driver to work with Tony Stewart, Harvick and Danica Patrick next year.

"As far as Kurt's deal, that is moving forward," Zipadelli said. "We spent time this week talking about buildings and expanding. So as far as that part goes, we're pretty much committed."

Asked specifically if he felt SHR could sign Busch, Zipadelli added, "We're working on that. If we can get it all worked out, we're going to add that link."

In June, Stewart said SHR wasn't in a position to expand to four teams when he announced Ryan Newman would not return next season. Zipadelli said that was accurate at the time.

"Obviously, something's changed," Zipadelli said.

Kurt Busch has signed a multi-year deal to drive for Stewart-Haas Racing.

Busch, 35, told FOX Sports on Monday, “It’s inked.”

Busch, the 2004 Sprint Cup champion, has 24 career Cup wins and currently drives for Furniture Row Racing. He is 12th in the Sprint Cup points standings.

“This is the situation that every driver wants to be in,” Busch said. “To have an owner like Gene Haas calling and asking you to come and race how you know how to race and that is to win. Gene is giving me that opportunity.

“Having the powerhouse of (Tony) Stewart as a teammate and Kevin Harvick as a teammate makes this all the more intriguing.”
