Just got the OK from my doctor to get back to racing. Hopefully will be back on track in April or May running my Legend car in the Summer Shootout at Charlotte and other local tracks (unsure which ones as of yet, other then the annual Legends race at Bowman Gray) :)

I guess this is the best place to post this, but anyway, for those who do race like myself or if you are looking into racing a race car this year and looking to get a head and neck restraint. Be aware that there are some counterfeit versions of the Hans and Hutchens Hybrid Pro being made.

Also there has been some good news finally on Waterford Speedbowl, looks like the track will be open this year.

Hearing a flagman who was working in the infield got hit last night at Orlando Speedworld during one of the Bandolero features at INEX Winter Nationals.
http://legendsnation.com/2015/02/18/inc ... ree-races/

Seekonk Speedway to be NASCAR sanctioned in 2015, will have a upgraded lighting system.

Hearing rumors that Lanier could be reopened soon, USAC also had a HPD Midget Series Eastern Pavement race schedule in October, however that was since removed from the schedule a few days ago.

Also hearing INEX is testing a new engine on their Legend Car engine dyno, not sure if it's a addition or a change to the current spec (Yamaha 1200 open/Yamaha 1250 sealed) but some rumors are suggesting that they could be adding a new junior class for Legends, possibly with a 700cc Yamaha.

Duels are tonight on Fox Sports 1, followed by the K&N East race on NBCSN from New Smyrna from Sunday night.

Not sure how exciting the K&N East race will be to watch though:

Spoiler:
Austin Hill started on pole and led every lap.

Spoiler:
You don't need lead changes to have an exciting race.

Waterford Speedbowl is being renamed to the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. The track is also in talks with NASCAR about reviving the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour date that was lost with the foreclosure sale this winter

What the hell New York, they are wanting to remove the grandstands at the New York State Fairgrounds as well as possibly the race track as well. What will happen to Super DiRT Week if there is no grandstands or a track in general? I don't know where they could even move SDW to as well. However it all depends on the governors approval for funding.

Fuck that noise. NYS has wanted DIRT gone for awhile now. They lost the Labor Day race and the 4th of July race. Fucking idiots.

SuperDIRTWeek would probably go to Rolling wheels. It's the only place large enough (land wise) to accomodate all the cars and RV's. It would also allow them to get everything back to one track. Big Blocks, Small Blocks, Sportsman, Pro Stock, WoO Sprints, WoO Late Models. Weedsport and Brewerton still aren't that far away for the satellite shows. Need just as much motor to run at The Wheels as you do to run at the mile. That joint is fast.

Rolling Wheels would be pretty cool to see considering that all of the series would be back at 1 track for most of the week like how it used to be.

Big things coming in the next few years from here, I'd say.

They've got the shitty people out and some new, great people in.

rendering of the new dirt track to be build at Memphis outside of the pavement oval. Not the first time they have had once behind the front straight grandstands as well

Seeing as how Memphis is dead, why not just cover the big track with dirt?

That joint is 7/8 of a mile isn't it? Cover with dirt, get the WoO LM's and Sprints in town, profit. I'd drive to Memphis for that.

shame the big track doesn't have much racing, they had a Pro Cup race or 2 and was going to have USAC last year before rain canceled
