There was no racing, just a bunch of runnin over each other. I could have done that.

I really hope this is the end of this. Just a terrible display. A national audience saw something that isn't what your local short track racing really is.

I'm almost embarrassed by this. I haven't been to my local tracks in a while but I remembered going to Stafford, Thompson, Riverside, and seeing much better racing than this. Much more honest racing.

This track is the greatest temporary track in the history of mankind.

Said no one ever.

Take the SPEED cameras 20 minutes South and go to New Smyrna. That's real racing.

I a track that would be a combination of the tri-oval and pit row would produce a better race than that nonsense on the backstretch.

When I first heard of this race being run, I was hoping for this.

Hell, running with a combination of the Tri-oval and the grass would be better than this.

I just don't understand the point of the 48 going out to practice single car runs. What's the purpose?

My guess is that it shows that JJ will once again drop back out of the main draft and they want to make the car as good as possible for when he get stranded alone in the back of the pack??

But yeah, doesn't seem like they will gain much useful info.

Post subject:  Re: Speedweeks 2013

Maybe the key to understanding the draft is being absolutely certain in how the car behaves on its own so you know exactly how it changes in the draft and how to deal with it.

It's new for everyone so I guess none of them have worked out exactly how the car behaves alone so maybe he just wants to deliberately do the opposite of what everyone else is doing and see if there's an advantage in it, Perez style...?

OR he's thinking long game and for the 39 or so other races that aren't plate races...?

It's just odd. I don't think they've done any drafting.
