Whoa. Tyler Dippel doing the ARCA race this weekend. Good for him. He is great on dirt.

Despite knowing about Carter's legal issues, the @ARCA_Racing Series continues to allow the team to compete. Car count has been low. #ARCA

Roger Carter and Dana Royal "Carter" are both wanted. Call 336-318-6699 for Roger info, call 704-216-8700 for Dana info. #ARCA

Carter 2 Motorsports allegedly has US Bonding on the No. 97 car as a favor/payment for Dana Carter's (Dana Royal) bond. #ARCA

Roger and Dana Carter of Carter 2 Motorsports both have warrants out for their arrest. Police are supposed to be at Springfield tomorrow.

That is the most ARCA thing of all-time.

I'm assuming they posted bond because he (or someone on his account) posted on Facebook yesterday.

Been hearing rumors on a message board (so take with a grain of salt..maybe a barrel) that NASCAR's interested in buying out ARCA and combining it with the K&N East Series. If this happens, I'm done.

The time for this to happen was 15 years ago, when the bodies and chassis were the same, the engine packages were close enough, the spending gap wasn't as large between K&N and ARCA teams and the schedules didn't have so much geographical overlap. A combined/complimenting ARCA/Winston West/Busch Grand National North/Hooters Pro Cup tour would have kicked so much ass.

I don't see the Kids & Nephews in Cup technology mixing well with the blue-collar (relatively speaking) ARCA teams.

15 years ago the ARCA cars were practically Cup cars. Scott Wimmer DNQed for the ARCA race at Atlanta in 2000 and went over and entered and qualified for the Cup race, and ended up leading 9 laps. I don't know what the specs for the Busch North / Winston West cars were at the time but they couldn't have been much different.

I don't see the two series meshing well if they were to merge them.

Then again, ARCA could benefit from NASCAR's promotion machine - their own in-house work is underwhelming.

ARCA just implemented this cool engine package though. I would love to see it play out.

I talked to someone with ARCA and they said they don't see the series selling to NASCAR, especially after how things have begun to improve this year, and the success of the Ilmor deal. Keep in mind this wouldn't be the first time someone tried to buy the series, Bruton Smith tried to back in the 90s. I talked to a guy I know who is with an xfinity team that worked with an arca team and he said NASCAR is using ARCA as a test bed for the Ilmor engines, and that they'll eventually be used by K&N, Truck and Xfinity teams.

When 5 cars run at 20 mph in the middle of the track on lap 2 of the race, trying to start and park, there are problems.

I also heard about NASCAR looking into spec engines as far as Trucks last month from a friend. Something needs to happen to cut costs in that series (heard the engine lease cost for 1 race, it's pretty high to say the least)

I heard about the ARCA/NASCAR merger rumor about a week or 2 ago as well. I don't see it happening currently, but I think it would help on the marketing/sponsorship/media end of the series. However ARCA isn't doing too bad in television ratings this year from what I can tell as far as the FS1 races go. (Daytona had 919,000 viewers in the USA. You can thank both NASCAR and UFC for that one though as the ARCA race was a lead in for both)

However everything else would be a logistics nightmare, between the 41 tracks that have dates on the 3 series schedules, most of the K&N drivers not being able to race a full season due to age limits on the superspeedways. And I would predict that alot of the smaller teams (mainly K&N West) would go part time or move to a other series due to the increased travel costs to race in a national series unless they set up a points fund system for regional-only teams/drivers (i.e. National Championship, East and West)

Most of the S&P guys get out of the way pretty quickly. At the six races I've been to this year (along with the ones I watched on TV), it's the same guys in the same incidents week after week. Some of it is lack of skill, some of it is being unlucky.

Why not do it exactly like that - K&N Pacific, K&N Midwest, K&N East? Have some companion dates, award points funds from each division and have an overall like the Whelen Weekly Series points program (or at least how they used to do it).

Roger Carter and Bobby Hamilton Jr. are going at it again on Facebook, each assaulting the other with a barrage of bad punctuation and terrible grammar.
