We had rain in 2009? Oh boy

I loved the 2006 with Schumi passing Fisi by merging back to the track, after the pit-stop, with slick tyres over the water better than him. That was a great championship battle.

And 2011 were we had a great 3 man battle for the win just to have Webber coming back from 16 to almost get the lead on the last lap. I wonder if we will have any crazyness this time. Oh, and Rosberg/Mercedes crazy win. Remember the "Happy" face of Schumacher when he was watching it all from the pits?

Rain predicted for Saturday. Maybe the qualifying won't suck this time.
Last year the race was boring as heck, but let's see if Ferrari can challenge the Merc duo.

Wow, 10 years since Schumi's last F1 win. Where has the time gone?

Never liked this track when it was first races, seemed too technical. Its now not that bad, possible to pass on and a few decent corners.

I could stand the track more if smog didn't turn all colors so dull and bland. :yuk:

I lived for 5 years just 40 minutes away from the track, and this time of year is horrendous for smog (well every day there is really) but this time of year more so.

I have just moved 2 short hours away by plane to downtown Tokyo and the difference in air quality is night and day. Tokyo, beautiful blue skies and no pollution, Shanghai...just pathetic.

If anyone hasn't done the Shanghai to Tokyo flight, you can literally see the cross over point in the sky of where China's air pollution starts and stops. The clouds are brown and murky about 45 minutes out of Shanghai and then turn white and fluffy the closer you get to Japan. No joke, it is almost a literal line in the sky

I always thought turn 13 was conceived wrong because it doesn't favour cars closing by, is something that should get done, maybe a slower S could help

In the words of Kimi, just another Tilke track. They are basically all the same because they are designed within the same rules/guidelines.

Possible internet comments of this photo....Rosberg needs a new phone, picture quality is awful, what is he using an Android phone? needs an iphone, Hamilton being too cool for school again, why is Verstappen's schoolteacher standing in front of him? I take personal offense at Nico Hulkenberg's clothing, boycott Force India products...and...

One of the few "modern tracks" I actually enjoy! Races at Shanghai are often very good. Tyre wear and weather conditions very often mix things up there, so it might be a nice weekend ahead, especially in a year that started so well. Oops, did I jinx it?
