Some of you guys have seen my Olav Mol Compilation from a while ago. And some of you seen the same with the Ayrton Senna Tribute. Now this one has taken offline bij FOM too.

I would like to know if some your video's have been taken offline as well. Maybe this isn't the right forum, mods please place in there if it isn't, but I am getting pretty sick from all the work I did on those video's.

Anyone who had the same experience?

Really: There are like a million + video's about Formula One online; why do they allways pick mine offline?

You risk getting your account deleted; this sucks badly. :x :x

You do not own the videos, thus you cannot upload it somewhere else. You should have known the risk before.

It's not just F1, they're also going after GP2 and Formula BMW Europe Stuff.

FOM get my F1 Fia gala highlight deleted from my youtube account a year ago but they didn't mind the Senna and Kimi tribute Image

Thought it was 1981 as they started their season review videos from 1981 onwards.

They have no rights on anything before FOCA got the rights to the media side, i.e. when the Concorde Agreement first came into force, which I think was 1981

How long is it till copyright runs out? 50 years? I remember Cliff being unhappy about it.

Not just the FOM that's takes stuff offline, ITV took down one of my BTCC vids and threatened legal action against me if I uploaded any more vids. However, they were quite happy to leave online another BTCC vid that I'd put up a while before.

You know what would be a good idea? For the official F1 website to have a Youtube-like section where fans were encouraged to do their own little compilations etc. Two main benefits to this: the first is that those fan videos are effectively free marketing for the sport, and secondly it means that the videos will appear on the official site and thus be within various red tape situations.

Of course, with F1 being about five years behind in terms of reaching out to fans via the internet then it's not likely to happen any time soon.

Yea its fucking strange why they delete some but there are still millions of F1 vids there. Better to stop than doing it slowly without results? Idiots...

No, what would be nice is if the FOM made old races available to everyone for little or no extra charge instead of locking them away in a warehouse never to be used again

They pulled my video of the finish of the 1982 Austrian Grand Prix but were happy to leave my video of a Niki Lauda onboard from... the 1982 Austrian Grand Prix :p I've never been given a warning or anything, just found that youtube had taken my videos off due to a copyright claim. They seem to have taken off any of my videos with exciting racing in them but haven't taken off any crash clips.

I had a few videos uploaded time ago, and they decided to delete the dullest of them all: Schumacher running a bit wide at T1 in qualifying for the Turkey GP 2006.

Didn't someone here get a mail from IndyCar where they more or less thanked him for uploading IndyCar clips to Youtube?
