wikipedia wrote:
For the first time in a Grand Prix, teams and drivers will score double the amount of points awarded for race finish positions. The FIA implemented this in order to maximise focus on the championship until the end of the season. Originally Bernie Ecclestone wanted double points for the last three races of the season, but the teams ultimately decided to have double points for only the last race of the season.

This rule change came despite Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo saying that the rule was "too artificial", Caterham F1 boss Tony Fernandes calling the rule "a fake fix" for the recent financial troubles in F1, Adrian Newey claiming the rule will "cheapen F1", Toto Wolff saying the rule is "unfair", Force India boss Vijay Mallya calling the rule "illogical" for F1, and Lewis Hamilton saying the rule "could spoil the title tilt" between him and Nico Rosberg.

I quite like this track. Especially the last two turns have always been very special.

The penis shaped hotel is also very special.

Except championship battles which made the race look better than they where, this track has never delivered any shit (or produced much shit).

If you'd have said to the finish fans that one of their countryman would've score 156pts & the other 53pts by the 2nd last race of the season I think they would've been happy with that, but if you'd have asked them to predict who'd have scored more out of Bottas & Raikkonen, I think it's safe to say hands down, they'd all have picked Kimi.

So, as good as the Williams has been this year, I still think Valtteri has done a great job to this point.

Actually we had some of the best battles ontrack of the season, after the DRS.

I'm already bored and the race hasn't even started.

It's not such a bad track - it has some interesting corners - there have been a few incidents here that I remember:

2012:

Rosberg & Karthikeyan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBKBJmGf6NI

Grosjean, PĂ©rez & Webber - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJ04OzXRUDA

2010:

Schumacher is almost impaled:

I think I will be watching the Saracens v Saints rugby game. As much as I like this track, I can't be bothered listening to the shitty engines anymore.

Now if Lewis DNFs on lap 1 and Nico wins, that would perk my interest.

What did Kimi say? "First sector is OK but the rest of it is Shit" That seems about right.

But the 2012 race here was pretty tast so, I guess with current F1 a good race can spring out anywhere *cough* Singapore, Hungary, etc *cough*

Still should've been finishing in Brazil though :(

Even though it hasn't done so for nearly 20 years, this is my feeling.

One day I'll be quoted and the words I type will remain the same :whistling:

Nah, Brazil had that evening timezone going for it, I'll always remember the 2012 finale down t' Pub. 120 people, codemasters around handing out free copies of their games and related merch, drinks, great racing and amazing atmosphere.

*sigh* good times.

How many Airbournez have we been denied from Adelaide's chicane from the many years of not running there?

Maldanado would've loved it.

This race reminds me of a Beavis and butthead bit. While listened to a horrible song buthead tells beavis the good part will come. When the song is over buthead explained that the end is the best part of the song because it means the song is over.
