Even though I find current Hockenheim layout a better than most Tilke tracks, the old Hockenheimring was the last really unique track. Uniqueness. That's what the calendar has lacked since 2002. While Spa or Suzuka has character of their own, old Hockenheim had a real personality. Maybe if some future circuit goes around a mountain, or goes through a canyon or behind a waterfall, that would be unique. Nowadays every new track is another parking lot with long straights and stadiums or street circuit. Still, expecting strong performance from Williams and some exciting moments at least in supporting classes. |
