Martin Brundle is such a gentleman. He was walking real quick, seemed in a rush, but I asked him for a picture anyway. He said "be quick". My girlfriend was ready with the camera. Valtteri was seen in the Williams garage, then he disapeared for a minute. When he came back, he was heading for the track, but I managed to follow him and take a quick picture. Then I wanted to tap his back to wish him good luck, but he went into the gap in the fence real quick, so I nearly tapped his ass lol.

Tap Dat assssss....

Actually I had a funny dream about this thread, in a way.

In my dream I was reading a copy of Autosport and I saw one of those cartoons that usually lampoon an element of the sport.
The cartoon in question was a tight shot of the wall of champions, with as many cameras and microphones pointed at it and as you could fit in the box of the cartoon.
The caption read "TBK-Light looks forward to the Canadian GP"

Pretty impressed my subconscious can be that satirical tbh.

Now you've made me sad because you've made me think about Jim Bamber.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Yes he had to give up doing the Autosport cartoons a few months ago because of ill health. But as far as I know he's still with us.

And in place of his cartoons they've usually run these awful pictures with unfunny speech bubbles.

I really miss Jim's cartoons :(

Jims cartoons were in Formula 1 News magazine before Autosport. Aerogi bought my magazines (except for the first season), so maybe they could be scanned one day for posterity.
