Guitierrez did 26 laps in that session the most of anyone and was still 3 tenths away from Massa

Hill & Herbert seem convinced that Massa's crash was caused by a steering arm problem as they say the wheel's didn't seem to respond to the steering input he was putting in.

It could be a rear brake failure as well. Might explain the heavy front locking.

Seems a lot of people think these shunts are cold tyre related.

if you look carefully at the right rear wheel before he hits the Tek Pro barrier its cambered at 45 degrees and it never actually hit anything

According to sky Ferrari are saying there was no problem with Massa's car.

Cold tyres & Cold brakes caused the lock-up.

The good news for Massa is that the chassis is fine.

I believe 1993 had wet Thursday but dry Saturday. No full wet session since they reverted to single qualifying.

The pole from Graham Hill a 1:32.5 must have been before or after the rain I presume

they did indeed

no pole ever for this race has been set in the wet, that's what I was going off

No chance that pole will be set in wet tyres today. They'll wait until track is suitable for inters/drys.
