I did one after Barcelona last year, but decided to put a new one since new season is on.

The poll will run until Thursday before Chinese GP.

I would tip Bianchi if he would drive other car now...
Buti think Grosjean will get his 1st win

Between Grosjean and Perez, but with the state the McLaren is atm I'd have to go with Grosjean.

Just because the possibility of getting new winner in Chinese GP, and I rather end it before any sessions take place.

I predict that we will not have a new winner this season.

Max Chilton. A future champion who has already got the measure of Bianchi...

Only a slightly more serious note, Perez. Whilst the McLaren might be a dog now, it will improve.

Sutil still this season if he can pull a good performance in unusual conditions (tracks like Monaco, Montreal and Singapore might help)

Sutil, he has the experience and now Force India seems to be competitive, once they get their strategy working.

Force India have been trying to "get their strategy working" for 3 years so far. They aren't going to suddenly nail it. And as well as Sutil drove, leading the race means nothing when your final position is destined to be 8th because your strategy is mental.

Perez and Grosjean could be it. I don't see any others getting it any time soon.

Perez is a good call. Force india could and I think hulkenberg has the talent if that car gets going.
Grosjean too, capable and with a decent car. Plenty of drivers out there who could do it.

Voted for Grosjean! Lotus is the strongest team with a driver who doesn't have a win right now and Grosjean is a talented driver, capable of winning with his car.

Grosjean. If he starts near the front he can be a solid contender as demonstrated by Valencia last year, plus he has the car to do it (unlike Perez unfortunately).

I won't mind being surprised though.

Grosjean and Perez are most likely, but I'm not sure that anyone will this season. I'm tempted to say Vergne or Ricciardo, if they step up into Webber's seat next season.

I think anyone picking someone driving a Sauber or Force India is brave, very brave indeed. Neither of those teams have ever shown that they are anywhere near capable of winning a race, outside of Hulks great performance during Brazil 2012. The only times in the past 20-30 years when we've ever seen someone outside of the established teams win a race or at least compete for a victory is:

- Capelli, Suzuka 1988
- Alesi, Phoenix 1990
- De Cesaris, Spa 1991
- Schumacher, Spa 1992 (this is debatable as Benetton were an established team in 1992)
- Panis, Monaco 1996 (this is debatable as it was a fluke win)
- Hill, Hungary 1997 (this is debatable as Hill was World Champ)
- Hill, Spa 1998 (see above)
- Herbert, Nurburgring 1999
- Button, Hungary 2006 (this is debatable as Honda were an established team in 2006)
- Kubica, Canada 2008 (this is debatable as BMW were an established team in 2008)
- Vettel, Monza 2008
- Vettel, China 2009
- Maldonado, Spain 2012 (this is debatable as Williams are an established that have fallen on hard times)

So if you remove the debatable entries from the list, then remove the non-winners, you're left with only one winner in the past 20-30 years who drove for two teams outside of the established. Vettel in an STR, then for RBR (who truly established themselves in 2009).

EDIT - Added in a couple of entries and in reality. Outside of Vettel's drives in 2008 and 2009 the only other winner (which still needed a fair amount of luck and misfortune striking the leading contenders) is Herbert in the Stewart GP.

Herbert @ Nurburgring 1999?

Or are you just looking at ones that were genuinely competitive and didn't "luck" into a win.

Post subject:  Re: Re-poll: GP Winner #105

I should have included Herbert but actually forgot. I did not include Frentzen's wins in 1999 because Jordan were somewhat established and had already won a race the year before. What others should be on the list?
