In 1999 Jean Alesi threw his helmet into the crowd at the hairpin in Canada :) Sauber was pretty pissed about the lost radio equipment that was still inside the helmet :p

Happened in 2001, in 1999 he crashed out on lap 1 (start accident). Sorry for being that picky.

You know what annoys me is how this is sometimes brought up as a stupid decision of heart rulling head, but when he signed the contract Ferrari were battling McLaren for the title, whilst Williams had only had a handful of wins since 1987.

Seems Alonso read my post on the previous page about drivers needing to celebrate more after a win, was a nice touch of him to step out of his car in front of the grandstand at Valencia. 8 points for effort, next time he should climb the fence for 10 points.
