2012 Chinese Grand Prix

After 2 very interesting Grand Prix, the F1 circus moves to Shanghai for the third race of the 2012 season. Can Lewis Hamilton finally translate a great QLF result to a race win? Can Ferrari and Alonso keep momentum from their win in Malaysia? Will Vettel and Red Bull be able to fight for the victory? Can Mercedes fix their race pace and be actually a contender on sunday? Will teams like Lotus, Sauber and Williams get a podium finish after showing really good pace in the first 2 races? Will HRT be inside the 107%? Will Caterham finally get their first points finish? Will Grosjean stay in the race at least until the first round of pitstops? Will Massa be anything else than utterly useless?

I'll leave this Sopcast link, which a high quality Sky stream. Requires Sopcast and is not very reliable, because it worked fine in Australia, but in Malaysia it only started about 10 laps into the race.

I quite like this track. 3 good tracks in a row now. Then onto 3 shitty tracks! Hopefully HRT can do something in 3 weeks.

this is a track I have gradually come to like. The fact that there are buildings emerging around the track which provides for some scenery is a very welcome sight in comparison to the normally desolate locations of Tilke tracks.

Same here! And the fact that this track has provided some great races in the past years, helped it even more... some nice wet races and last year, propably the best race of the season, with the great lead battle.

I would not expect that before the mid-season test in May.

They have a 3 weeks break, so they can work hard, I bet Ferrari will come up with something new as well as Mercedes will try to work out a solution for the badly tire wear they are facing... of course that its not going to be something big as without the real tests its hard to improve too much... but I believe Mercedes will come to Shanghai with a better race pace. Just hope Williams can keep the good pace in the race.

I'm not sure they are suffering tyre wear this time around, at least not in Malaysia, when Rosberg came into the pits for more inters the team said he tyres they took off were practically still new yet he could hardly drive on them 8O

 at the poll. By the way, that's the ad we see in Brazil right before and after the races. The vehicle Massa is driving here seems very appropriate actually.

Can we change the answer to the poll to "Yes and Mercedes have built another shitty car" ?

Also: possible asian rain.

Can we have a Mod look into the poll please?

Some fanboys have voted yes just to troll, when its clear anyone who isn't trying to get a reaction out of other posters would actually apply logic to the situation and vote yes.

How so? I'd go as far as saying the vehicle is very much less appropriate. Afterall, instead of just endangering 23 other drivers every other Sunday he's now faced with sharing the road with thousands of others.

LMFAO. I fear more for the cold macaroni people will have from Massa's Fiorino.

Info from a Ferrari insider says that Massa was testing new equipment in the other races. Wich seems very reasonable due to the shitty car they've made.
