I would not be surprised to find out Red Bull were lying to Vettel about his gearbox.

It is obviously in the team's interest to see Webber finish 3rd in the WDC. They managed to achieve this because Alonso fell behind Button again.

Telling Sebastien to let Mark through would be an exercise in futility. He wouldn't listen. And they're not going to threaten him with anything; what could they threaten him with? So they have to come up with some way of getting Vettel to let Webber through, and it worked, if that's the way it went down.

I wouldn't disagree with that at all. I'm surprised to be in such a small minority.

I missed the race because of work so I read the forum and it is sort of infuriating, first off the whining about " boring race" "we need rain" it's getting old and repetitive.
Come up with some original comments for once, watch some football and complain on their boards about how boring it is!
Try to say something positive for once you may feel better about yourself.
Get the message son.

So guys,

it was a very exciting and funny season with you :P
didn't like the season very much, but the Pirellis and DRS made F1 better.
I hope that Ferrari will come back stronger next year. Cheering for Alonso and Massa to win the championship next year.

Congratulations to Vettel and Red Bull, it was a fantastic season from them that unfortunately made it somehow boring

Dr Helmut Marko telling fairy tales of the mighty wizard Vettel mastering a gearbox with almost no oil in it in german tv.

2011 championship: shit

2011 races: great! Thanks to DRS, KERS and Pirelli, its refreshing to see the excitement on track instead of pit lane!
Shame they fizzled out once the championship was won.

Though SKY better hope Vettel isn't as dominant in 2012 as few people will want to pay for dominance.
You could argue MS's 2002 dominance killed Bernievision cos no-one wanted to pay to watch boring races, so 2012 will be very important, excitement wise!

Going to be a huge confidence boost for Webber going into the winter

How is being gifted a victory a huge confidence boost? He's scraped 3rd in the championship thanks to the Ferrari being useless on hard tyres.

Of the top six cars the only driver he is better than is Massa, he is a long way off the rest when you factor in the respective cars.

Only just watchable, the bare minimum above a boring race, JUSSSSTTTT enough going on to keep me entertained.

Tweeting and arguing through the race added to it though...so that helped :)

Because irrespective of circumstances, he won a race.

Can someone tell di Resta its Kobayashi not Kobayoshi
