I was happy with that so I gave it an 8. A nice birthday gift ;)

However, I will agree that the DRS zone should have been placed in a different area.

Definitely Alonso. He always gives it 110% and he did well to get the car to a podium position :D

Hard to choose between Alonso and Vettel.

But I will give it to Alonso in the end, put Alonso in Vettel's car, and Alonso would (probably) have won too.

I did laugh at some of those laws on that page.

"Offenders are typically punished with lashes." Forward thinking country, Saudi Arabia.

Same goes for Qatar, read a paper last year in Qatar that a Qatari was caught during an alcohol control next to the road, punishment was 50 lashes.
Also see that it's forbidden in Kuwait.... i'm sipping on something now though  thank god for non muslim indians and their distillation sets.

On track?

Boy, did the directing suck bad then, I thought that there would have been about 30 overtakes on track.

Does that count start and pitstops? 82 pitstops could raise the overtaking numbers if it's just down to changing positions.

There actually were 126 manouvers, excluding first lap, position changes in the pits and any overtakes due to a technical problem or a driver going off the track.

Directing did not suck. Do you really want to see every pass?? Well in this case the race coverage would just consist of replays...

That is actually a new record.

I want the FIA to do their fucking job and fix the damn overtaking issue without implementing stupid gadgets to bypass the problem.

Its nice to see overtaking, but in Turkey it was too manufactured. I do want to see overtaking, but I want to see the driver infront have a chance of using his defensive skills. In Turkey, that was impossible. Sometimes the tension can build for 10 laps which makes it exciting. If they follow for 1 lap, hit a button and cruise past its like 'meh'.

Only 11 laps where no passing took place.

Post subject:  Re: 2011 DHL Turkish Grand Prix

I'd like to see where drivers have to work hard for their passing.
pre-2011 was working hard, seeing that it was impossible, wait for pitstops or stay behind for 50 laps.
2011 is coming close to another car and passing him.

We need a path between, where a driver knows it can be done if he tries.

Pretty much agree with that. DRS is ok if the passes aren't too easy (like we saw in China), but I'd much rather just have cars that can follow each other closely. And remove the rev limit so that they can get proper slipstreams. Simples.
