Track looks a little like Singapore in terms of the corners. I expect Alonso-RBR-McLaren. But LEWIS CAN STILL WIN.... BELIEVE!!! Ah fuck it.

I don't want too be critical, but if in this situation Alonso finishes 10th, he is still champion.

I also kept believing, but at Interlagos he showed he and Mclaren didnt got what it took to get it eventually. Hope he can win, but the title is way out of league.

2nd time in history 4 people were mathematically in with a chance at the last race, but first time in theory.

No. Alonso has more victories.

Alonso engine failure, Webber tries to overtake Vettel for the lead, they make contact and webber is out. Vettel with a damaged car is then overtaken in the final lap by Hamilton and Button.

Now that would be an awesome finale. Only way they can top 2008 in excitement.

But I don't expect a big fight, more something like Brazil and maybe at the end a switch of position from the Red Bulls.

I think we'll see Vettel leading Webber with Alonso 3rd. Vettel will wait until the last lap to let Webber past just incase Alonso has a problem. Alonso can then fake a problem and let Massa through into 3rd. Red Bull panic and stay as they are. Massa lets Alonso back through to win the title.

You can just imagine the 2 Red Bull cars coasting to the line unsure of what to do. Ok, it won't happen.

The thing that will fail in that plan: Massa will more likely be 12:th

Slight correction - Alonso needs 4th for the title, so he'd need to drop to 5th to con Red Bull into keeping the same order. But yes, that would be absolutely hilarious

And the strange thing about this championship is whatever points system you use - 9-6-4, 10-6-4, 10-8-6, even Bernie's medal system - the scenario is still pretty much the same for the top 3

9-6-4-3-2-1

Code:
F Alonso   76
M Webber   72
S Vettel   70

10-6-4-3-2-1

Code:
F Alonso   81
M Webber   76
S Vettel   74

10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Code:
F Alonso   99
M Webber   96
S Vettel   94
L Hamilton   92

Medals

Code:
F Alonso   5   2   3
M Webber   4   4   2
S Vettel   4   2   3

Vettel has more 1 more 4th than Alonso, and even if Alonso was to finish 4th, Vettel has a 7th which Alonso doesn't have

I find the medals situation quite funny considering one of the arguments for it to come down to wins is there would be less team orders, and yet here there would be just as much a need for it as with various points systems

Last race for Bridgestone. It'd be brilliant if they took tyres here that turned to mash within 5 laps but I doubt that'll happen.

So no 'Sebastian... Mark is faster than you'

Because using that message to rob Alonso of the title would be funny as anything.
