Alonso. His ability to sqeeze every bit of pace from a crap car is incredible.

9. Lots of overtaking and incidents. And finally a non Ferrari or McLaren domination. Good that Ferrari did that mistake as it still fits my opinion that Massa doesn't deserve anything.

He definitely spun, the French commentators noticed it, although it happened off-camera.

It was caught on camera, it just wasn't shown live.

Red Bull Racing suspect that Mark Webber's retirement from the Singapore Grand Prix may have been caused by static electricity produced by a nearby tram.

Webber was forced out of the Singapore night race with his first mechanical failure of the season, just as it seemed he was on course to take a podium finish thanks to a brilliant pit call by his team under the first safety car.

But Webber pulled into the pits on lap 30 with a broken gearbox when it tried to select two gears at once. And without an obvious explanation for the problem, team principal Christian Horner suspects that total freak circumstances were to blame.

"At Turn 13 the gearbox selected two gears at one," Horner told Mark Hughes in this week's Autosport Singapore Grand Prix report. "The moog valve controlling the gearshift had been triggered into changing to seventh while he was still in fifth.

"Yet after interrogating the software we can see that it at no time was allowing for this. We can see a momentary electrical surge at the precise moment, which seems to have triggered the moog valve.

"It was exactly what [Toro Rosso] suffered from with (Sebastien) Bourdais in Friday practice, at exactly the same place. A tram line runs beneath the track at that corner and it seems as if static from a passing tram at the very moment Mark was in the corner passed through the ground."

A very bizarre cause for his retirement indeed...

Watched the race earlier today, was pretty decent really. A lot better than I thought it would be before Sunday.

Rosberg did a great job, but I'm gonna say Alonso.

Europe shouldn't have even been there. Even Peter Windsor who says every track is the best said it was shit. If anyone wants that article, I'll put it up.

How Italy rated above everything ill never know. If Sebastien hadn't won that race it most people would've voted it a 3.

Singapore would have rated very low if Lewis had won tbh.

Well, it's part of the entertainment to see outsiders in position to compete for victory.

Hamilton killed many races this year by being outrageously faster than anyone and winning with ridiculous gaps. So even if he has a close victory it still has a bitter taste compared to these races.

There is no technical objective criteria to rate races, like the gap/ number of overtakes... it's all about the emotion it makes you feel, and having a young guy in an average team driving his way to victory in hard conditions is awesome.
