Some pretty good races there, especially the last 3

Fantastic introductory post, and great use of the fancy new PHPBB3 features ;)

From the Massa fan perspective, I am looking forward to this race. He's very strong on the street circuits, and tends to qualify very well, so barring any disasters (and as long as it doesn't rain), he's in with a good shot. I do worry about the width of the track in some areas, though I did hear over the weekend that the bridge, which is the narrowest spot on the track, is still wider than the widest component of the Monaco circuit, so perhaps there will still be some opportunity to pull off a pass in the dry.

I read one which was saying it to be around 1.30 but I don't think it will be that fast. That would put it faster than Valencia which I doubt very much.

Valencia was after all second slowest track in the calendar, faster than Monaco but slower than Hungaroring. Fuji also holds slower lap record but that was because there has been only one race in current version which was very wet.

The weather looks dry and sunny on Friday according to the BBC, but on the Friday radar screen there does appear to be rain moving in for the weekend proper.

He's got a BA\Science from Calcutta University, which counts as a doctorate I guess.

If you expect overtakings, you'll be disapointed!

Overtaking is overrated anyway. You can have a good battle between a handful of drivers in a lead train with no passing at all except for pits, and it would still be an awesome race (Monaco 2002 for instance).

You don't always need overtaking to make it an exciting race...

That was a race of attrition. Was it really that exciting to see DC stuck behind Bernoldi for 40 laps?

No, funny though.

I love to see cars racing inches of each other in narrow streets, all of them being able to win the race.
I find it better than having lots of easy passing from a car that is significantly faster than the field on a wide track.

Uhh, yeah, you do. its the reason why Spa 1998 is/was crap.

Imola 2005 was shit. :x

Looks like a miniature version of the chicane at the end of the lap at Surfers. And that one is tight enough as it is, and has had its share of accidents over the years. Saw a video of the rFactor version of this track, and the driver was able to turn into the first part of this chicane and pretty much straight line over the kerbs, although this makes it seem much tighter.
