Maybe he just likes racing now. He's won everything you could imagine, but clearly wanted that racing fix. If he enjoys it, who cares?

5 races is too soon to tell but he's not performed as all the media hype expected. The Merc is not a great car as the team concentrated on 2009 rather than developing the 2010 model. Rosberg is by far quicker but the designers have had to change the car to help it suit Michael's driving style. I don't think he'll see out the year. Regardless of his smile at the end of the race yesterday, he cannot be happy with a 4th place finish and I can't image Mercedes will be either.

Barcelona was the first race for him where I thought the limiting factor was the car, not the driver. Think he did pretty well, and he showed he can still cut it in wheel-to-wheel stuff.

I reckon it is too soon to tell, but I reckon it'll turn out okay as long as he gets a more competitive set of wheels.

I think he is still good enough. You can't judge him after a few races back. Barcelona showed some more improvements after out-pacing Rosberg all weekend, and showing some strong defensive racing on Button which clearly showed the Mercedes isn't fast enough for anything more than 4th. I personally think Monaco we will see an even stronger Schumi.

Ask me in 5 years when its all in the past...

I imagine this spurt of racing will go on for 2 seasons more, if so, this slow start to the first year could be seen as a blip, or it could be more of a sign of things to come.

Personally, I think Micheal will win a few more races before he dissapears again. I can't see another championship for him though.

He'll win a race. The car isn't great and he needs to adapt to the tyres - remember Bridgestone basically made tyres to suit Michael in the early 00s, but now he doesn't enjoy that privelege.

No waste

No pure genious

And I think that won't change during the season. He will have some good drives here and there, maybe e few podium finishes, but nothing to get too excited about.

But anyway, his come-back has been all over the news pre-season, and I am pretty sure that was the thing Mercedes were aiming at. Even people that don't watch F1 knew he made his come-back.

Unnecessary voting in my opinion. Michael's comeback is no waste, neither pure genius. Let him do his job. And until now one can say that he did a fine work the last 5 races... He's much better than a lot of other drivers racing for the last 3 years... :x

The guy probably just misses racing. He has nothing left to prove. If he does begin to look uncompetitive and out of his depth then I hope we'll see him in sports cars or something.

No drama's with the comeback in my opinion. What is wrong with just wanting to race.. if he is 'past it' and still able to finish 4th, what does that say about the others

Tarquini won the WTCC last year aged 47, Jim Richards won championships and a pair of Bathurst 1000s in his 50s, look at the way Capello was driving in an inferior Audi at Spa last Sunday etc... i don't think Schumacher being over 40 is a problem

Saw a little bit of his old form during the last race, perhaps he likes the new car, maybe it was accidental. 5 Races is too soon, we'll see troughout the season weather it was a good choice or not.

Or at least Le Mans. F1 is not the place for shits and giggles for an old man.

there are better drivers on the grid at the moment
but there are also worse drivers on the grid, so I think he deserves his spot

If he liked racing for racing's sake, there's plenty of other challenges that would welcome him. It's not the racing that brought him back, it was the fact that he didn't go out on his own terms. He's not leaving unless he A) wins his eighth, or B) gets forced out.

He didn't because he's scared to death of it.

I don't care if Michael fails to achieve a victory or even a podium place during his comeback.
It's just nice to have a link (along with Barrichello) to the era of the early nineties when drivers like Senna, Patrese, Prost, Piquet and de Cesaris were still active.

The media has played the comeback of Michael too high and then when the expectations too high for 2010. I think that it is only from 2011 on his old of efficiency of.
