Racing legend Stirling Moss was seriously injured after a freak accident that happened at his home. The doors of an elevator opened on the 3rd floor, while the elevator itself was still at the 4th floor. So When Sir Moss walked forwards he fell 3 floors down.

He broke both ankles in this accident, 4 bones in his feet plus suffered further damage to his vertebrae. His injuries are not life threatening. I'd like to wish him a quick and full recovery...

It is hoped that he will be moved out of the Intensive Care Unit later today and Lady Moss reports that he is in remarkably good spirits and already complaining about the size and quality of the hospital breakfast.

And I find it amazing that he is still writing his column and following everything in the sport:
http://en.espnf1.com/f1/motorsport/story/22217.html
And that he got back to driving race cars:

A very courageous man at 80 !

Great to see Moss giving trophy for a 2nd placed driver on the podium. Won't tell who that was in case someone didn't watch the race live.
