Williams-Toyota

New Teams
Lola Cosworth (according to F1 racing magazine)
USGPE Cosworth ( " " )

Possible
Aston Martin/Prodrive (Cosworth)

I'm not sure that BMW and Mclaren should be in the confirmed bit, BMW are said to agree with the other teams who've said they won't enter and tellingly all Mclaren have said is that they won't threaten to not enter, which is not the same as saying they will enter. Also I'm pretty sure Williams will still enter.

As for all these new teams, with the exception of USGPE, I'll believe it when they line up on the grid at the first race next year.

I know it's not going to happen, but if those teams leave the sport, that would actually help the creation of new teams, as it will give them a great chance to be competitive, with that few "old" teams left.

We cannot guarantee what's supposed to happen to McLaren as Mercedes belongs to FOTA and we know all the problems between Ron Dennis' team and FIA.

Force India looks neutral for me. BMW considered some time ago retiring from F1 but I don't know his position about the budget cap.

Who wants to bet that none of these "new" teams will show up?

Are the new teams fighting out for one place to enter F1?

Or are the FIA going to welcome the new teams with open arms?

There's currently 10 teams in F1. The current rules allow 12. Next years rules I believe will allow 13.

There is a maximum of 26 cars on the grid. I have no idea if more teams are allowed and we could see some sort of pre-qualifying session.

it would be awesome to see pre-qualifying like in 1989. A one hour session at a inhumane hour (in monaco it was at 7am I think) with several teams fighting for 4 available positions.

8) 8) 8)

If only 13 teams are permitted to enter we wouldn't see pre-qualifying.

BBC Look East had a report about the possible new teams from this region, Litespeed can be added to Lola in that they've confirmed they will be putting in an application to join F1. Mike Gascoyne is designing a car for them at the moment.

Speed Channel also reported that a 2nd United States based team has been in talks with Bernie Ecclestone to enter F1 next season.

Really looking forward to all these new teams. Especially Lola and Litespeed! Great names already. Can't wait to see all new cars. They should skip this years championship because it suck quite hard I've to say and start directly with a new one :p
