Whitmarsh is extremely lucky that the basic exhaust system they took to Melbourne for this year worked otherwise he'd have been sacked before they got back to Europe whilst sitting 7th in the WCC.

Both Lewis and Jenson have been making noises about wanting to leave if the car wasn't up to scratch; Autosport (boo!hiss!etc.) ran a piece last Thursday claiming that Silverstone was make-or-break in terms of deciding extending beyond their current contracts.

Maybe Whitmarsh's head is supposed to be a sweetner for them.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I can see him replacing Massa at some point, 2012 might be too early, but in 2013 we might see him in that cockpit

Jul.11 (GMM) Jaime Alguersuari is back in favour at Toro Rosso, according to the Spanish press.Very recently, the 21-year-old was heavily tipped to make way at the Red Bull junior team for Daniel Ricciardo. But the Spaniard Alguersuari then achieved consecutive points finishes in Canada and Valencia, reportedly spurring Red Bull's driver manager Helmut Marko to instead find a place at HRT for Ricciardo's mid-season debut. At Toro Rosso, Alguersuari is now fully back in favour, with a third consecutive points finish at Silverstone compounding his new status.According to Spanish sports daily AS, Marko and Alguersuari had a friendly wager before the British grand prix."If you score tomorrow (Sunday), I'll pay you double for the points you score, but if you don't, you give me a case of my favourite Spanish wine," Marko reportedly told the youngster. It is believed Alguersuari still intends to buy Marko the wine.

Can't commit human rights atrocities if there's no-one to run the country.

Sergio Pérez and Jules Bianchi will both be testing in sort of face off in September...I had heard since April that Checo could be announced as Ferrari F1 driver at the Italian GP this year, let's see...I see him being better than Bianchi...

Kimmi, Fisichella and Massa went to Ferrari previously having driven Sauber...Let's see if Sergio is another one!!

well, take the situation in Belgium with Flemish vs. Walloons anywhere else in the world and you get pretty much civil war, bombings etc.

In fact, if people (refugees) from a faraway country goes to our country, and we are not able to give them somewhere to live in, court decision has been they are allowed to stay in hotels or else get 500 eur per day... :x

FIA were testing what happens when you throw a wheel at 225kph at a thermoplastic windshield and a jet fighter canopy:

Quite stunning results.

Mclaren should be more worried why they haven't got Jenson Button tied down in a new contract yet. Give Lewis a good car next season and he'll stop moaning, although from all I've read Mclaren do have a ridiculous amount of sponsorship days/adverts and crap compared to the rest of the grid.

If so, then Jenson is as well, because he's demanding the exact same.

McLaren do a lot of PR stuff, I think only Red Bull are comparable. And some drivers don't appreciate it.

Renault are said to be considering giving Grosjean another shot at F1 later this year if Heidfeld doesn't improve:

Quote:
Sources have also revealed that the outfit is giving serious consideration to handing Romain Grosjean another F1 chance later this year if he continues to impress in GP2 and Nick Heidfeld does not deliver stronger results.

Presumably Lopez is now in France trying to secure sponsorship for him.

Again, great way of treating your drivers.

again Grosjean, with no experience in the car, will fail to deliver.
Let him become champ in GP2, much better for his carreer
