Its always a compromise between dev' and testig. You cannot put the car too early or you'll lack of dev' and you cannot launch it too late or you don't have time to test it.

And maybe give her a Friday practice run, just so that we can go "OMG A GURL IN F1".

Well she can't be worse than Chanock Nissany can she?

Joe Saward raised a good point (for once) in that women in F1 would be good, but not this woman. Like IndyCar had with Danica is what F1 needs: a woman capable of competing near the front. Okay, Danica wasn't amazing, but the fact that a woman was challenging for the win at Indy and running well changed the perspective and subsequently allowed for more women in, such as Simona de Silvestro or Ana Beatriz. If F1 introduces a female driver who is slow (which judging by her career is everything we'd expect from de Villota), then the women-in-F1 process will be setback another 10 years.

Simona is probably the most talented top level lady racer at the moment. I'd love to see how well she'd go in F1.

Good read!

I'd have put Kovalainen a lot higher myself, mind ;). Given his equipment some of his achievements were astonishing, especially compared to his team mate's.

Well yeah, its always difficult to get an accurate idea because little coverage is given to the back of the grid, so you have to refer to notes & previous articles and I thought 15th out of 28 was a fair reflection.

Also, just got the stats from the last week - 165,712 visits from 149 countries. Woo.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

There are rumors that Austin is back on next year and a deal has been reached. I don't think its true but we'll see.

I'm not
We don't need another highly promoted circuit that pushes good circuits off the calender, only to be disappointing year after year.

It does make more sense having a race in the US than having 5 in the Middle East though.

The political situation in Bahrain is no better now so the event is likely to be listed as provisional or cancelled again
