And please stop saying that Massa won more races.Hamilton's move on Raikkonen at Spa (and the penalty) are in the gray area rather than black&white.So it would not be a solid arguement that Hamilton won the race %100 legitimately.But there is one thing for sure - Massa wasn't even in the frame for a win in that race.What granted him the win was the Stewards' decision to demote Hamilton after Raikkonen retired.The most appropriate decision would have been to demote Hamilton to second place had Raikkonen finished the race.

Also, it is not fair to say Massa deserved more because he made less driving errors.He had his fair share of mistakes too when he drove like he still had traction control in the first 2 races.

Hamilton. Just watch the British GP again, I don't care what kind of "throttle" problems Massa was having, you're in arguably the best car out there, and you spin 5 times and finish plum last.. whereas Hamilton absolutely dominates and destroys everyone else.

Besides, the Spa penalty was one of the worst decisions in F1 which meant a 6-point turn around in the WDC...had that penalty not been imposed, Hamilton would have had the title all wrapped up after what..Japan?

Don't agree with that, in most of the races where Senna didn't have any problems with his car, he was quicker than Prost. Best example, the race at Suzuka where Senna stalled and drove back to the front in just a couple of laps, stunning!

Both drivers knew the rules at the time and drove around them. Senna won more races that year.

Hamilton deserved it, but Massa went up massively in my estimation during the Interlagos weekend. The way he dealt with the situation and then was a perfect gentleman afterwards makes me think that had he won it, he would have deserved it too.

Massa,Massa deserved it.Hamilton is also a good driver but Massa gave this season the very best of himself.

Felipe deserved it.. When season started, all was thinking that he,s the one who have most problems with ban of Traction control..But at the second half of the season, Felipe really showed that he is improved and that he is better racing driver..
His biggest mistakes were at Malaysia and GB..

All this "Felipe improve massively" nonsense is just that. We had 1 more race this year compared to last and he only scored 3 more points, and that's without Raikkonen and Kovalainen performing well consistently and Hamilton making some silly mistakes which cost him points. He might have had bad luck in Hungary and Singapore but he did last year in Australia, Britain and Hungary

Yes, he has improved but it's only minor refinement rather than massive steps. The big improvement came through last year and the year before last. Truth is he probably was a better driver than we gave him credit for at Sauber (in his 2nd stint, anyway). But even so, Ferrari really missed Kimi this year - had he reproduced his form of late last year, he would've crushed them both like crisps

Forget about the sob story. Lewis was the better driver of the 2 this year and is more talented than him as well. The finale was artificial and the 1 point margin is an illusion

The 1 point margin is an illusion. If the Ferrari had the reliability of the McLaren, Massa would've won by a good 20 points, more if the Spa penalty wasn't reversed.

Lewis has had bad luck as well, though. You can't just say "Massa had bad luck so he deserved to win". And Massa has had some poor performances this year for which only he is to blame. Lewis has been more consistent

Because of the way he won it, Lewis isn't getting the credit he deserves. It's been 22 years since we've seen a driver win in a car that clearly wasn't superior

Lewis has had bad luck, I agree, but he has not suffered with it like Massa has.

In last week's Autosport, Mark Hughes totted up the scores taking out all the luck, good and bad, on both sides. Massa comes out on top 110 points-86.

As for who deserved the title, I think that both of them have an equal claim. But Kubica deserved it more.
