So a quick re-cap:

Verstappen wins - check

Stroll driving like a fucking moron - check

Magnussen driving like a fucking prick - check

Sounds like a normal Grand Prix to me.

That's a great idea, penalties should be applied at the home GP of the driver you hit. Bad luck if you hit Leclerc

Even worse if you hit Sargeant. That´s 3 races!

Didn't miss this race at all between 2020 and 2023. Should have just replaced it with Mugello, Portimao or Nurburgring.

well that small show they prepared for Zhou puts this GP for many years to come

but it was a good race thanks to the mid pack derpness on restart (Alonso caused it)

Great job for Hulkenberg, who has finished in the points 3 times in 5 races.

Well yeah, Bottas saved that race lol

Some nice overtakes and mild chaos, probably the 2nd best race after Australia, which is probably saying a lot about how bad the others were

5/10

What is Alonso trying to gain on those softs?

I still can't fathom wtf was Aston's objective putting him on those softs. He gained absolutely nothing and just screwed his race by having to make that extra stop. Putting him on hards and some good tire management could've finished him ahead of Russell and Sainz IMO.

They should've learnt from Mercedes opening stint stupidity that the softs were not the tyre to be on

Only thing I thought was they were hoping for Safety cars to breed safety cars, make some places in the chaos and then extend the stint slightly to change into hards on the next SC/VSC that didn't happen

You gamble, you lose sometimes

In the meantime, I have read that Alonso didn´t have a set of hard tyres left, so they had to choose a different strategy

It's the first time I've really paid attention to his commentary, but he might just be the worst F1 commentator I've ever heard.

It was an odd race, like it was exciting, but also boring, but also exciting.

Only good part about Rosberg's commentary is how blunt he can be, he somewhat reminds me of James Hunt

So Stroll essentially blamed everyone else, except himself, for the crash at the hairpin.

I think he's preparing himself for a career in politics.

Didn't notice at the time, but he wasn't even looking at the cras ahead......at a restart.....into a hairpin. He was looking at the apex like there was no one there. And the irony is the guy who "bunched up" the rest was his team mate. The guy is a straight up plonk and is a big player why we have a pretty stagnent grid.

Chapter 1000 in the FIA crazy book of inconsistent penalties, Ricciardo has been given a 3 place grid penalty for undertaking under yellow flags.

Now regardless of whether or not you accept the decision, the penalty will be given, for the next sprint race in Miami. Not the main race. The sprint race.

So essentially the FIA has said penalties are worth less if a sprint race is next on the calendar.

We're also going to disregard the fact Stroll took out a car and caused damaged to another, and only got 10 seconds, which sent him from last place to last place, so essentially wasn't a penalty at all?

to be fair, a 3 place grid penalty for Ricciardo will put him from 14th to 17th, reducing his chances to finish in the top 8 and score points in the sprint race from 1% to 0.9%.

I can see him ruling the FIA while Toto rules the F1 business

Great stat I saw on Tik Tok (so probably wrong but sounds right)

Wins since the 2019 Chinese Grand Prix

52 wins - Max Verstappen
53 wins - Everyone else on the grid (combined)
